I must say, of all producers or rappers, Dr. Dre inspires me the most. When you hear his music, you love it, not only because it's good, but because he took his time to make it worth your time. He's not pulling rabbits out of his hat every year. He WANTS TO be a change in music. He wants to be the next big thing. He has been the next thing TWICE already. He brought the g-funk, then he brought the futuristic beats. He's an innovator. He takes his time to know what's out there, and when he steps up the plate, he hits it home...
ie. eminem and 50 albums have a much different sound...the man's a genius.

dr. dre inspires me too. not for his music. he takes risks.
1. NWA was huge and he took a gamble with deathrow once NWA broke up.
2. At the height of deathrow's success he left and did his own thing...that takes a lot. he wasnt gonna sit at the label if he wasnt happy like some many artists do.
3. He wroked hard to build aftermath...with basically just two artists...himself and em...none of the others ever came out
4. the biggest risk of them all was signing a white rapper....he took all the criticism and the jokes...and turned it into $$$$...gotta repect that
and ohhh..he makes good music too
peace

Madlib.
Pete Rock is up there too.. but Madlib's at #1.
-
detroit producer\ rapper jay dee
Did that really need the detroit producer/rapper part? I think most people should be aware of who Jay Dee is.
Producer wise people like Dilla, Madlib, 9th Wonder, inspire me, because they are our generation more so than people like Premier or Pete Rock, who even though they are amazing producers, and two of my favourites, aren't the ones I've seen come up, and therefore don't inspire me myself to produce as much as the three I mentioned before.
-
Dr.Dre, DJ Quik and Havoc inspire me....
From rappers.......2Pac and Bad Azz.....
I do beats and write lyrics......but nothing serious shit, just for fun....
-
rapers inspire me to do illegal doings like gangband, shoot heroin, fuck bitches without a rubber, etc..
-
I inspire myself

In terms of rappers, I'd have to say 2Pac, The D.O.C., Chali 2na, Eminem, and Rakim.
Producers or music-makers or whatever, gotta go with Dr. Dre, Shock G, DJ Quik, Warren G, and Kanye West.
As far as groups, N.W.A. and Digital Underground prolly, there are probably a bunch I'm forgetting... but these are my favorites.
