Title: Truth Talks About Detox
Post by: Hittman2001 on September 15, 2002, 07:47:25 AM
This is just part of the article from MTV.com.

Just when beat surgeon Dr. Dre will be giving people a taste of his own musical medicine is still far away from being determined, but his singing protégé said he's going to offer quality material.

"It sounds good, it sounds excellent, actually," Truth said of the little she's heard from the Dre album. "I like the direction he's going in. I've only heard a few [songs] and they were tracks in the making. The tracks were ridiculous. I think he's actually getting started now, getting into the groove of it. It takes him a while, he has to get in the whole mindset. It sounds a little more future than what Dre has been doing, but they are still ghetto, of course. Still his stee-lo. And he's working with other producers."

After the Seagram's Gin run, Truth, who also wants to get back into acting, says she's going on a tour of the House of Blues venues that will hopefully kick off in December. From there, it's back in the lab for her second album.

"I'm about to start it," she divulged of her next release. "They want it out by next summer. That's how Dre works."

So i guess we are getting a truth lp and detox next summer?

dr dre worked with every artist & producer in the industry.i still dont see why its so hard 4 him 2 pick 16 songs.with all the people he worked with, havent no artist in history ever worked with as many artist & producers on one album as he did..I think dre have enough songs done  2 put out a classic album, dre just insecure now becuz the expectations is so high & the singles havent lived up 2 it

some nice instrumentals on there, i agree.

who would have thought that after working on relapse & 50's album, dre would let someone else produce his singles?

I think Em's direction on Relapse fucked up Dre's opinion off his own production. Even though the album sold, everyone was hating on the direction and the one song to take off was the one not produced by Dre.

well i remember reading an eminem interview, in which he mentions that he was unsure whether he should switch up his style (before it was called relapse), but dre advised him not to do it.

anyway, was beautiful more successful than crack a bottle & we made you?

hopefully the next single is produced by Dre :-\
hopefully it's better than what we've heard so far
