In '98 people seemed to recover from 'Pac and Biggie's deaths. It seemed at the time that hip-hop was at an all time low. (I think 2002 is right now, but Scarface's album which I just got is helping change my mind alittle) But when doing my top 10, I remember this really good CDs, and plus a little bit more, and it wasn't as bad as it seems. Here was my top 10, and I don't think it was that bad.
1. Outkast - Aquemini
2. DMX - Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood
3. D.J. Quik - Rhythm-Al-Ism
4. Gangstarr - Moment of Truth
5. Xzibit - 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz
6. DMX - It's Dark and Hell is Hot
7. Daz Dillinger - Retaliation Revenge & Get Back
8. WC - The Shadiest One
9. Big Pun - Capital Punishment
10. Ras Kass - Rasassination

See. People talk on '98, but in reality, many albums were mad sleeped on.

There's always those albums that are diamonds in the rough, so to speak. Hip-hop isn't in such a bad state, it's just 90% of the stuff thats in the mainstream isn't on par to what was in the mainstream during those times, like '96 for instance.

Very true. Most of those were some tight albums. A couple classics as well.
