Title: Does anybody make their own Music?

... and I don't mean Rap like in the other section of the board, I mean composed music, on guitar or piano or bass with singing and shit.  I'm trying to get more and more into it, but haven't recorded much more than covers of other people's songs.  I'm getting a better mixer for Christmas (from myself, nobody else ever knows what I'm interested in enough to buy me more than t-shirts and candy).... so hopefully I can record a little better.

i know several people who do their own thing, especially ska and rock bands, also a few people who rap, but you said that don't count, tho one guy i know seems to have real talent and is about to try to get serious...but yeah that's it, i don't really do anything myself

Well it certainly "counts" I'm just not that interested in it since everybody thinks they can rap.  I was just wanting to hear some people's music that sing and compose more original (in my mind) stuff.
