Post by: TraceOneInfinite on December 21, 2004, 03:22:29 AM: Face it ya'll... hip-hop has deteriorated to such a degree, I want you to pull out that old Dogg Food record and compare it to the G-Unit album, and you'll see how much the industry has decayed.

First compare the singles, "Let's Play House" with "Stunt 101". Or better yet, compare the East vs. West classic, "New York, New York", with that commercial garbage 2nd single "Wanna Get To Know Ya".

And there ain't no way Loyd Banks or 50 can touch Kurupts skills on the mic in 93-95. Check how hard Kurupt comes on The Chronic record or "Niggaz and Bitches" on the Doggystyle record.

G-Unit of 2004 = lloyd banks or young buck solo albums, and young buck's is fire and banks's is fine too if you ask me. And on the other hand... When comparing DPG to G-Unit ur using samples from Doggystyle and The Chronic to say how good Kurupt is. I thought ur point was to compare the DPG's album with G-Unit's album?

But I will say that G-Unit's album was one of my favorites and I still bump it a lot. It's definitely a solid album for what it is, just nothin close to Dogg Food. And Lloyd Banks definitely is not wack, and lyrically he's different from Kurupt but he's better in a lot of ways. I like the old Kurupt much more, but Banks does come thru with the east coast style punches and multis.
