Title: Snoop Doggy Dogg 1994 or The Game 2004
Post by: TraceOneInfinite on December 21, 2004, 03:40:57 AM: Snoop Doggy Dogg was organic, in one interview he described his style as if he was "just rappin for my homies in Long Beach about what's going down in Long Beach". If you look at Snoop's old video's everything from his clothes, to the girls in the video's, it's all just basic, less is more, keepin it real.

Then the Game on the other hand is acting like he's already blown up before his record has even dropped. Atleast Snoop paid his dues on "Deep Cover" and the Chronic album. The Game is trying to claim G-Unit it's really just a marketing scheme cause he didn't come up with them, they have no relationship, it's just like the same way they put those Boy Bands together like NSync, it's just marketing.

Back in the day it was everything about rapping not so many bling bling and shit, more basic.

My post was an exagerration but in my personal opinion I would only put Pac and Cube over Snoop in their primes.

I donno how true that is, but even if Snoop didn't write his own lyrics, the lyrics are never what made Snoop who he was. His style, flow, delivery, charisma, is somethin that nobody could "ghostwrite" or coach. Half the time, he wasn't talkin bout anything at all, like on Tha Shiznit, but just hearin him spit it was amazing and still is.
