That's what i've been thinking. What's talent anyway? Being able to push mad units? Being a well respected hiphop poet? Flowing over beats like no other?

I can't say there's any label out there which really outshines another by quality.

^^
Dude, no matter how big of a TQ fan you are (not that there's anything wrong with that), you can't honestly mean Cash Money has ever been among the most talented labels.

Death Row used to run shit, that's for sure. Nowadays people are more spread around, since new labels emerge as fast as new artists do. Most labels have that one guy that's their superstar. There are a couple labels that have more talented people than others though, mainly Def Jam and the Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit combo.

Eh? For years Cash Money had like 6 releases a year. This goes back to way before TQ signed there ::)

B.G.? Juvenile? Lil Wayne? Mannie Fresh? What do you mean no talent? :-\

It doesn't matter how many releases you put out per year. No limit used to flood the market with releases. How talented were they?

And Mannie Fresh is talented in my book, yes, but the rest of those guys I couldn't give a fuck about.

But hey, to each their own...

i know the roc had the best production team

had pretty good artists too

they just never really released anything

the best old label was death row...

i dont feel them cats...

maybe im not the only one - so if you compare DR and CM: i think CM never had that mainstream success DR had back in the day

the only CM video they played in german TV that i can think of is probably Juvenile with... lol - i dont know anymore

but i dont know though how successful they were over all
but i doubt it was nearly that successful as DR

so i wouldnt see those two labels on one level

I can see where dude would say cash money.....I feel like cash money never really got thier proper respect....people bit thier whole thang before  it was recognized where it came from....the whole white tee thang was cash money....the crunk beats with the tripled up high hats was cash money....they was the first rappers I ever heard talking about 20 inch rims and manny fresh has roots in all different kinds of music....he was schooled by johnny j....he used to run with too shorts camp....toured with mariah carey etc. etc.

Cash Money Records had talent in like 96

Roc A Fella has talent too but they're deflating

Major labels are slowly fading away, the trend is to be on your own label

cash money has no talent.
Lil Wayne is their star rapper who is easily crushed by the Game
MAnnie Fresh their main producer is murdered by Roc's Kanye West
Old Time Rapper Juve is basically their only weapon he's an unsharpened sword right now.
cash money is falling apart and they never had their flash, never will.

Ya Def Jam and Aftermath are good but if u  think about it, Aftermath is still overrated, Eminem and 50 Cent claimed to be the best rappers.

Def Jam is gr8, i think they'd be one of the best either them or Aftermath or Roc.

I don't think it's about labels no more. It was Death Row and Def Jam back in the day, but they ain't shit now.

Yeah, Rap-A-Lot, best label at the moment. Artists like Z-Ro, Devin, Yukmouth, Geto Boys, Hi-C... they're great.

Universal. They're the parent company for Interscope, Cash Money, and a bunch of other labels.

Anyway.

Lil Wayne is one of the illest in the game right now.

Juvenile has one of the dopest Southern albums under his belt.

B.G. is one of the best street rappers out.

Mannie Fresh is a Top 10 Producer.

Jazze Pha got beats for days.

Plus they had Mack 10 and they got Gillie.

So yes, they were talented.

yeah Universal doin it

Interscope aint really talented. They just got enough money to force people to like them, and power to blackball any compeitition.
