Can you guys list some of your fav Quik tracks, outside of his own albums? I'm really coming up short, the only ones I REALLY like are:
Truth Hurts & Rakim - Addictive
Erick Sermon feat. DJ Quik & Xzibit - Focus
Shade Sheist - John Doe
Suga Free - Why U Bullshittin (pt. 1 & 2)
Much appreciated for any help

Another tight track is I'm Not Really Lookin' by Truth Hurts ft. Quik or If U Stay Ready (classic). There are too many to name em all.
-
Inside Out
this must be one of the greatest tunes period
-
2pac feat Above The Law - Words 2 My Firstborn
He has always laced Pac with some of the dopest beats. That shit is ill.

the og version or the one on until the end of time?
-
Until The End of Time.
-
Though I LOVE Quik, I guess he made Words To My Firstborn a lot worse than the OG, the OG is a classic to me with that laidback beat and Nutt-So on it, the UTEOT version is ok, but nuthin' special in my eyes, it hasn't the feeling of the OG no more.
-
sugafree-whistle (sick beat, hella sick)on konnectid project or the rebirth with mossberg&kam
-
I think his beat tracks were the drops he did for the radio dj's like theo from 92.3 the beat and Spinderella...
-
damn i thought hutch produced that
another banger for Quik in the books

213 Don't Tell
Deborah Cox Featuring Top Dogg The One
Tony Tone Toni Let's Get Down
Up N Da Club 2nd to None
Heart Of Menz 2pac

Deborah Cox - The One (feat Top Dogg)
where is that song from, cause it's either extremely rare or maybe it's the song I'm thinking of that Quik produced for her, called One Wish, which is smooooooth and would definitely put up there with Quik's best beats.
A Quik beat I found recently is Shaq - Straight Playin' feat Peter Gunz which I would definitely put up there with Quik's best worst. On a smoother tip again, the 2 songs he did for Adina Howard are really really nice.
-
or the rebirth with mossberg&kam
I guess Big Saccs produced that.
-
Talib Kweli - Put It In The Air is nice as hell too.
-
(edit: I had to delete the songs from his albums.)

I didn't know Saccs did Shut Up. I know he did the "Bring the Crown Back" song with Kam, that has his style written all over it. That baseline in Shut Up is fuckin sick.

DJ Quik & El deBarge - 50 Ways OG version... one of Quik's definit classics, probably my favorite Quik track ever, shits all over that shit that was released on Under Da Influence...
Let Me Know... Of course, one of the greatest tracks of 2003, that beat is so cool!
-
in my face
nobody mentioned pitch in on a party? i love that track
-
that deborah cox song (the one) does not exist as far as i know, but i am sure whoever posted it meant the track 'one wish' (from the album of the same title) which is super smooth and indeed produced by quik.
-

It was on Balance & Options. Of course a classic, but not relevant fpr this thread
-
I think my favorite track quik did that wasnt on one of his albums was either make em understand or
we dont love 'em on the chronic 2000 album deathrow dropped....I just dont get tired of that beat!
