Most people get acknowledged after they die. But i think Dre is the Biggest player in the game right now. Im not saying hes the best but hes defenitely the one with the most succes. Hes been producing classics and hit albums since he started. Most people from back in the day arent succesfull anymore. Dre stil manages to drop hits.
So in my opinion dre's definetely a living legend
Do yall agree or not.....?
-
Yeah, hes definently a Living Legend for what he has done for hip-hop and westcoast rap in general through the last 20 years. He may not be the best producer or rap artist but hes still one of the greastest.
-
Yeah, definitely a living legend.
Most influental rap/hiphop artist ever, and best hiphop producer ever, bar none.
-
I wouldnt consider him the best Hip-Hop producer ever as far as talent, because he always has someone CO produing with him.
-
Well Dre is the best producer IMO coz producing aint only about makin hot beats it got a whole lot to do with arrangement and Dre is pretty much the only big hip hop producer in the game today that actually arranges his records. most producers just send out their beats to the artists and lets them do whatever they want but with Dre itīs a lil different he actually tells the artist how they should do it etc. and who got a track record like Dre? and yes heīs a living legend.
-
one thing is for sure, wether dre steals or not, the stuff with dre's name on it is usually hot.
-
Well itīs easy to say that Dre steals shit but if thatīs the case then why havenīt none of his so-called ghost producers managed to be succesfull on their own? the only one of Dreīs co-producers that has been succesfull on his own is Scott Storch and heīs never claimed that Dre has stolen beats from him. Peeps can say that itīs coz Dre blackballs them or whatever but if your talented enough peeps aint gonna give a flyin fuck if Dreīs tryin to blackball you or not.[edit]Daz was succesfull on his own too but thatīs about it

a legend indeed

^ I agree. There's no way dude can be stealing beats for that long and stay on top that long... and not have any of these so called "ghost producers" not come up on their own. The man is the best producer in hip hop hands down. I'm not trying to shit on Quik because Quik is right there with Dre. But nobody can touch Dre's overall success and hitmaking ability. Dre helped put the West on the map with N.W.A. and then took it worlwide in the Death Row days. Since then he's kept the West alive and has dropped hit after hit and continues to help the West (2001, Xzibit, The Game). He not only helps put out artists, but also helps put out producers... maybe that's why there's a bunch of co-producer credits on Game's album. If you helped on the track, he's gonna put your name on it. The man get's hated on when he only puts his name on the track, but when he starts crediting people, he gets hated on as not being able to do it on his own.
The man is the best and a legend... period. 8)

A lot of people are hating on dre, but when hes dead then he wel get the recognition he deserves. But its a shame people get props after they are dead.

Legend. 8)
No doubt....Anything that Dre gets behind is always successful. Hes a genious.

For all the classic records he's provided us with, hell yeah he's a legend. To be in the game for 20 years, and to have the most anticipated record at this point, in 2005, it's some amazing shit.
-
Thr best there is.
-
no doubt 8)

He's been on top of the food chain since 2001 dropped.

More Than A Legend No Diss But HEs More Of A Legend Than Big And Pac, If I Wasnt For Him And Cube They Wouldnt HAve Been Possible, Eazy Basically Was Made A Rapper, And His Doe Helped In The Beginning...Dre Is In A Class All His Own Period, Not Jigga Not Nas Not Even Snoop Is On That Level Shyt HE Makes Russel Simmons Looks Smaller Every Decade His Artist In The 90's Made Def Jam Look Smaller, ANd These Days They Still Do!!

Well, it's not just at this point that he's got the most anticipated record to come out... We've been anticipating it for 3 years now and yet we're not really losing confidence in his work.
He's been on top of the food chain since 2001 dropped.
Only since then? I think it's been longer, to be fucking honest with you.
Overall... Hell yeah he's a living legend. He'd better stay alive for a bit longer tho.
