I think it is important Dre get Mel-Man and Scott Storch back int he lab together to work/play on Detox. Their tro on "2001" was unstoppable and I hope Dre can get them back, I know Storch has success solo, but what happened to Mel? He didn't do anything on Documentary does he have his own label now or something? I am glad Dre still has Mike Elizondo, he is talented, but he should also re-aquire Camara Cambon and Tommy Coster Jr. to collaborate on Detox. I am sure Focus will help out on that.
I noticed that Dre now collaborates with Mark BAtson and Che Vicious. Anyone have any info on this?
Now for the writers, Dre should have The Game, Hittman and Eminem and even DOC write the whole album. That would be sick if Game could write the whole thing.

LMAO, you're kidding right???
-
I trust Dre, as long as he's overseeing the project I'm sure it'll be tight.

WHy would I kid bout somethin so tight? Imagine if Game wrote for Detox. Dre would be spittin the tighest lyrics over all his hot beats.

LOL, I aint trying to hear Dre rap about ni66as steppin on his Air Force Ones or Eazy E saying this or Biggie saying that
-
fuck that dre should stay with all the writers hes already had cuz he normally gets dope verses from them

No shit. Dre is a producer, he will tell Game what he feels or what he wants conveyed through hsi raps.
BTW... here ia veryu insightfull Mike ELizondo article that shows how Dre uses his musicians.

of course he's not gonna accept anything, but his verses gonna have that Game feeling which I dont want from a Dre verse. Id rather have DOC or Knocturnal write some shit for him
-
^ why would he use game if he can use doc or eminem, who are on a different level than game...
-
well game stays with what he writes because thats him. remember that shit he wrote for lil e on confessions? im sure for other artists he'll def write outside of what he writes for himself. that being said, storch is still making beats with dre. im sure dre will compile a group of good writers like he did for 2001

Where is this Mike Elizondo article?

LMAO @ having game write the whole thing for him. hell Dre might as well write it himself. He needs DOC. DOC is a mastermind behind albums. Dre needs him, snoops needs him, hell the whole dpg needs DOC.

Amen. I'd give even more props to Dre if he let DOC rap on his labum too.
-
yup, D.O.C. would be the way to go -- unfortunately i've gotta feeling that he's not going to go that route. where's the article?

Props, that is interesting.
-
according to that article, an artist they were working on at the time passed on the beat (IN DA CLUB) i wonder if it was Rakim
-
That would be sick if Game could write the whole thing.
do u want to hear dr dre say "NIKE" and "NWA" 100 times?
-
producers for Detox: Dre, Mike, Hi-Tek, Foc, Scott, Em

I aint trying to out groupie you lil mans....didnt you say regulate was your first rap c.d. just a few days ago?? motherfucker I was there when niggas was breaking down card board boxes and breakdancing and shit...Ive seen hip hop through every phase and change it went through....I aint gonna say you didnt see that shit either , but know this I am a product of hip hop.... Ive experienced the art from every angle and perspective....as a breaker , a graf artist , journalist , m.c. , producer , d.j. , on air disc jock you name it....I DID IT....I got the stripes to prove it...I aint sayin who you are or who you arent but if regulate was your first C.D. I assumed you were young but Ill admit your not as young as I thought you were...by the time you were 12 I had already met and associated with several artists local and nation wide....
-
He's always got the top notch musicians to work with ( Mike Elizondo, Scott Storch, Mark Batson )...the music won't disappoint, I trust that the beats will be worth it, though I hate the idea of other producers contributing tracks. All songs should be produced by Dre and whatever musician gets the co-producer credit, depending on the track. As far as lyrics go, there's no doubt that Eminem will write at least half of Dre's material. Then you got The Game, and maybe one or two other writers...I'm sure he'll get Jay-Z to do something. He stated a couple of months ago that he'd really like to work with Jay-Z again. Realistically, Detox won't drop until very late 2005-early 2006.
-
know who should be back and help to write, cuz u kno he brought heat on 2001?....
Hittman
-
^^ that's a good idea. Hittman always came through, when he spit on 2001.
-
Let Khalil and Storch produce, er um I mean "play," the whole album.
Let Snoop write the rhymes. Dre sounds corny when Eminem and Obie writes his rhymes. Is Hittman even around anymore? If not Snoop, Knoc would do. The Game would not pull through on the writing tip.
Fuck it, call Jigga back up.

Dre needs to hook back up with Sam Sneed on Detox!!!!! Hopefully he can move away from the repetitive 2001 style hes been using for the past couple of years. Watchin Bad Boys 2 the other day and was listening to dres score for the film, all sounds the same as 2001.
