ok. what Dre has on his hands with all his artists is a gold mine. You know what, it all started with Eminem. Dre signed Eminem with hopes of him doing well, like all labels, they want their artists to do well... well Eminem was huge... and from there, money flowed in and dre was able to push his 2001 album... from there, more money came in... and so they drop another Eminem album... and even more money comes in... so now Dre understands that Eminem and himself can sell a lot of music... so what to do... sign 50 cent, promote his album.... promoting is key... it's huge....you can't pull a snoop dogg and try to push out E-White, Latoiyas, Soopa's, Kokes, and whoever else... one at a time...Game's promotion is due to all this excess gold juice spiling out of the aftermath water bubblers..... Take your time and in the end, Dre's lounging, his life is pure success....

True...and what else is new?
Lol

Love or hate tha man, there is no-one who knowz how to move units like Dre. He made himself- and plenty of others- lots of coin. Jimmy I and the whole 'scope crew should be bowing down to the king.
My only fear is this: what happens if one of the family decides that they are too big to ride Dre's coatails. Some one like 50 may start to think that they are owed more than they are getting and go elsewhere...

Dre is a fuckin legend and a buiness man ... thats all I can say
-
Dre Is A Genius....
hey its old news
-
damn straight, but that wasn't anythin new.
-
For every Eminem there is a Rakim, The Last Emperor, Eve, etc.
For every 50 Cent there is a Brooklyn, Joe Beast, Antonio, etc.
-
damn where are all the dre haters gone
we've had a 'dres a legend' thread and now 'dres a genius'
where's the 'i hate dre' or 'dre is a sellout' threads
but...back to the topic....he gets criticised for taking too long on albums...but im sure yall will agree that all the albums he took really long on were woth it
he's a mastermind
peace

but thats pretty much the case with most labels...plus, i would bet that any money he spent on those acts who never did anything on Aftermath, he more than recouped with 50, Eminem etc...

And why would anyone wanna punch Dre?
-
Yeah...im not feelin em tho..
-
What can I say, the guy is good at what he does.
-
dre is a very good business man yea. but his style nowasdays sucks IMO. all his 50, shady, eminem, game beats sound the same. boring. and game dont even sound westcoast-like.

I did when I first heard the original California Love.
I thought he was the ultimate beat maker and when I heard the original I was like "Fuck, he didn't do shit with the beat!". Then I heard of the rumors about Daz and Warren doing lots of Chronic and Doggystyle. Then I found out that he didn't produce "Keep their heads ringing". Then came that post-2001 style, which I ain't feeling not even a little bit.
He was on top of my list, and he fell waaaay down.
