They are all sounding pretty dope, no word of when the album will be out, but I'll definitely be peeping it when it is released, been waiting too long for a follow up to their first album.

Good call...yes they should be comin out with an album soon...
...im kinda looking forward to it...but a part of me thaT has been a lil disappointed of late is fearing they wont have same spark.
But saying that they were never part of the "corrupted" lot so hopefully this one will be another classic

Black Sheep is compromised of two members, the dj, Mista Lawnge and the mc, Dres.
They first came on the scene back in 1991 with their first single "Flavor of the Month" and their biggest hit to date "The Choice is Yours".They were a part of the Native Tongues movement that included the Jungle Brothers,Monie Love, Queen Latifah, and a Tribe called Quest.I think they released a second album before slowly disappearing from the scene.
Anyways, great to hear they are back in the studio making hip hop music.

choice is yours rocks my socks

engine engine number 9 on the new york transit line..
yeah blacksheeps making a eomcback, they got a few dates in LA so be on the lookout..
its been a fucking long time though, so i dunno how they have transitioned their sounds.

Black Sheep was the shit back in the day. The Choice of Yours was the ultimate club jam. A wolf in sheep's clothing was a great album. They had an album after that, I bought it, it wasn't that good.
Tracks 11, 13, and 15 are heat.

Engine engine number 9, on the New York transit line,if my train goes off the track, pick it up, pick it up, pick it up!
Who's the Black Sheep? What's a Black Sheep?..ahh, memories. ;D

I think 'Non Fiction' was actually better than their first - cool, jazzy shit and every track blended into the next perfectly.
Dres's solo was alright - a handful of decent tracks but no Black Sheep chemistry.
Looking forward to this new stuff :)

Good to see a lot of Black Sheep fans on here, I was getting a little worried after kµ®µpt×£ 's post. I think Track 11 is the dopest of the snippits they've released, but all of them sound dope enough to make me seriously consider picking up the album when it drops. Hopefully they'll tour europe in support of the album, would love to see them live.

I will pre-order their new album from Tower Records ;D

Thanks for postin that little sampler. Its good to see a few real heads in here. Anyways this shit hit me hard - i was feelin it like a muthufucka. Probably just became my most anticipated album. The production was orignal, and creative as hell. Lyrically, i think they proved they haven't fallen off. Damn the first track is fuckin nuts.

Damn, Where's Jeru Tha Damaja? "I don't gangbang, or shoot out bang! bang!, the relentless lyrics the only dope i slang" "Come Clean" was the shit back in the day! "The Sun Rises In The East" and "Wrath Of The Math" are must haves in your cd collection if you appreciate real hip hop.
Hey Jrome, Did Jeru put out a cd last year? I forgot. The real Hip Hop era 1984-1995

He released Divine Design in 2003. He's still tight as hell, but i wish he and Primo would hook back up. The Sun Rises in the East is the defiinition of what hip hop used to be. The guy's a genius. I had a dude tell me one time he saw Jeru with Lil Dap in Amsterdam. He had no idea who they were. Jeru's def one of the most overlooked rappers ever.

Black Sheep was tight. Hey is it true that Chi Ali is in jail? Hit me up on that.

Chi-Ali is serving time for the murder of his old girlfriend's brother. He shot him several times over cash owed him and some cd's. He was on America's Most Wanted and was eventually caught in the South Bronx, NY.

Damn that is Sad as hell.
