Title: Special West Coast issue for next month's XXL-magazine
Post by: CRAFTY on January 31, 2005, 02:35:07 AM
Quote
The Editor-In-Chief of XXL Magazine had this to say after his editorial in the recent issue of their magazine (March 2005 with 50 Cent on the cover):

"Next month: Special West Coast Issue. Witness the power when a Blood and Crip come together."

Lets see what they come up with...

Styles

I'm looking forward to this...It will most likely have something to do with Game I think 8)

Daz on the cover of XXL? Hmmmm...I seriously doubt it. XXL is known for putting "big name artists" on their cover, because by doing that, Elliot Wilson is sure the edition will sell.

its Daz

Jay, are you sure? Or is that just a guess?

When I read it, I immediately thought Snoop and Game. The fact that they're currently touring together only added to that suspicion.

Would be cool if it was Daz though, that would be some nice exposure...

CRAFTY, I see your point but right now I'm pretty sure that they could put any rapper on the cover with Game and the mag would still sell. Daz is a bit far-fetched in my opinion, but its possible. After all, whether you like him or not he's a veteran in the rap world and is signed to So So. Who knows?

i cant wait to read this shit. its great too see a issue dedicated to the westcoast.  the only problem is it will all be about la and thats fine bcause alot of my favorite rappers are from la but there should be some articles about the bay in the issue.

talk to spice 1 and see what hes up to, he just released another album and hes working with jayo so hes got shit popping, or they should talk to celly cel as he gets ready to release his new anticipated album, or talk to yuk and the regime, and sicwidit b'la, 40 and the federation.

but they wont it will all be about game, dre, and snoop and thats to bad, nothing aginast those artists but the bay needs some luv

People are inevitably going to compare the two. Plus, Kurupt had the cover of ''The Source'' not that long ago.

"Next month: Special West Coast Issue. Witness the power when a Blood and Crip come together."

They're talking about Game and Dr. Dre
