-- The Rock was recently interviewed on the Filmforce.com website about several of his upcoming film projects including Get Cool and Spy Hunter. When the topic of a WWE return comes up, he commented,
"No. They've been wanted for a long time to get into the movie business and, I'm not too sure, I think like low budget movies, a lot of them straight to video. I think they wanted to and were looking for different distributors. No, my contract is actually up with them, it was up last year, so I'm done…"

He got out just in time. He;s bigger than the WWE anyways. Nobody other thank Hulk Hogan could ever really say that. Not Austin, not HHH, definitely not Chyna lol
-
Rock is one of the most down to earth guys. He doesnt want to be known as the rock anymore as wwe owns that name. hes gonne use his real name dwayne johnson.
-
rock is tite, hes funny as hell. but i wish he'd stay with the wwe, he made the sorriest angles of RAW seem entertaining
-
u know the Rock is THE guy u'd want representing ur company. I mean a lot of wrestlers come off as a idiots when interviewed but the rock coems off as an intelligent down to earth guy.
I wihs he was around more because he's the most entertaining guy on the roster.

There was a time when Austin was certainly bigger than the WWE. When Nash Bridges was a hit show and he guest starred a couple times, he was asked multiple times to leave wrestling full time and start his own show based on the character he played in Nash Bridges. Starring in a one hour action series on CBS is a big deal when they are personally requesting you.

I heard Rocky does own the rights to his name too.
-
nah, he doesnt own the rights to his name. thats why Vince is listed as a producer on every movie he's in or he gets paid heaps in exchange. that's also why you see the rock usin his real name in movies 'the rock aka dwayne johnson' etc.. so he can stop usin the rock and stop payin vince
on a side note, the rock also said he would kiss another guy in a movie if it called for it. what a ponce.

Word to that!!!!!!

The Rock does not exactly pay Vince McMahon and the WWE for using the name in his movies. It's the movie studio that pays Vince McMahon and that's why he gets a "executive producer" credit for allowing Dwayne Johnson to use a WWE copyrighted name.
The Rock looks like he's got tons of movie offers on the table that will definitely keep him busy in Hollywood but i think in the long run he will always come back to wrestling because that's where his heart is and where his family legacy lives. You can check out the latest

i dont wana see rock go, he sucks at acting, and i dont want to make any more movies, and wrestling is mad gay btw.. but to each his own
-
Im not a fan of wrestling
Im not a fan of rock movies
but he does seem like a cool guy so uh....good for him that he's leaving wwe
-
Good
-
first generation X broke up, now the rock, nothing good is left.
-
im pretty sure vince gave up the rights to the name a lil while ago, and the Rock needs his wrestling audience to have any prolonged success in Hollywood. He can coast for a while, but without the Millions...
-
and millions...
-
of the rocks fans supporting him, he will surely stumble and find himself making movies with Ice-T, Dennis Rodman, and Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater). Fatboy
-
I saw Slater at the mal once. Nobody even knew who he was. Poor bastard.

lol. I know after "Be Cool" his next movie set for release is called "Doom" based on the video game.
-
.. and Doom will be the biggest bullshit game-turned-movie ever... I mean.. look at the game... it´s about killing, slaying, and murdering.. lol ... while that makes a good game they definatly "need" to think of a story for the movie.. and thats where the shit starts...
on another note.. any one of you ever played Duke Nukem? now that game just kicks ass.. they been working for years on DN Forever... they also thought about making a movie out if it.. that would be the same shit... fuck games turning into movies...
.. but Rock deserves to be in Hollywood.. he is so amazing... just gotta think of his WM 20 promo with Mick Foley... CLASSIC!

-

You see that?,...That's cool!...lol
-
I haven't even seen a Carlito Cool match. How's his ability? Is he good or is his character just good like John Cena?
-
Carlito is a funny mo fo...they should've kept him as a main dude
-
about damn time...
-
"I haven't even seen a Carlito Cool match. How's his ability? Is he good or is his character just good like John Cena?"
I'd say he's a bit better than John Cena but his biggest advantage is his character
-
he hasnt really had a match with a good oponent yet. he looks like he can go, i guess we'll find out if that shoulder ever heals
-
well he did face Rey mysterio early on , but hey i like CCC
-

Calito won't be wrestling for a more months because of his shoulder injury. But from the couple of matches I saw him in he looked pretty good.
John Cena is alos pretty good in the ring when it comes to wrestling skills
-
nope, hes terrible
-
nope, hes terrible
Obvisously he's not because no matter how good a guy is on the mic or how good his character is he won't be successful if he can't wrestle. Just look at what happened to Scott Steiner when he came back he was one of the most popular guys there util he was in a match, then his popularity went downhill.
-
ummmm, ever heard of hulk hogan?
-
ummmm, ever heard of hulk hogan?
Hulk Hogan was never terrible in the ring until much later in his career. Fans now a days put what a guy can do in the ring almost ahead of everything else. Benoit, Lesnar, & Angle are prime examples of that.
-
The only thing I'm going to miss about the Rock is the stuff he'd say. Don't get me wrong, he was a good wrestler, but he had everybody rolling when he had a mic in his hand.
-
i dont think hel last in movies if he leaves
