This is not about everyone voting their favorite player or the one who helps his team most in their opinion or anything. This is about predicting who will be the chosen one.. by authorities.
For example: I really don't think that Bryant will be MVP for various obvious reasons, although he is a good player. I also don't think that Garnett will be MVP, cause he was last year's MVP and the team isnt going too well, although he puts up the best numbers by far.
Im going to bump this thread in a couple of months to see how right/wrong we all were.

I voted for Steve Nash....
-
can i vote for stockton AND malone?
-
I voted for Steve Nash....
Yup, me too. Right now I think it's Nash's to lose. He's turned Phoenix around like the self pro-claimed "best point guard in the league" Stephon Marbury sure as hell couldn't do..
It will be Nash unless someone else turns it right up after the allstar break..
-
I voted for James and Garnett...i was gonna vote for Nash...But im hoping James can pick it up a lot MORE (even though he's doing great numbers 25 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds, which jordan only did ONCE!)...Cavs get second place or somthin...that'd be dope
and Garnett, well, Timberwolves, lets hope they dont lose anymore games ;D
-
Duncan or Dirk
-
SHAQ or NASH they both turned their teams around and are really valuable players to their franshise
-
I voted for Nash and James.
Nash is averaging 12.5 assists (WHOA) and is the perfect PG at the moment, plus the Suns are doing well
James is by far the most improved player, plus he is carrying the entire team on his own at age 20. That's MVP caliber shit. Don't forget, Cavaliers got a winning record 29-20
-
Nash cuz he's from BC
-
either...
Shaquille O'Neal
Tim Duncan
Miami/San Antonio ain't without Them.

Steve Nash
-
nash.....just look at how his team plays with/without him.
-
Hopefully Kobe, if he brings the Lakers a miracle the second half of the season...
-
well the top 3 players that are more valueable to their team are 1. Dirk 2. Kirilenko 3. Nash
-
Steve Nash
Fuck Phoenix! :-* ;)
-
Nash or shaq
-
in all reality it's going to be a race between duncan and Shaq....seriously .........don't get me wrong nash is helping the suns out tremendously BUT the suns success is more of a team success than an individual's output.....the spurs without duncan are soft plain and simple, no playoffs without him. then you got the heat who were lucky to be in the playoffs last year then trade essentially 5 players for one player...........and they got the best record in the East. Whoever finishes with a better record between san antonio and miami , that's who will win the trophy
-
Shaq all the way! no question. He proved he was MVP when he went back to the staples centre on christmas day and demolished not only Kobe but the Lakers too. ;)
-
Spurs without duncan are still a playoff team. Obviously not top four seed but still a playoff team
-
shaq baby
-
its def between shaq and nash, i pick both those team to play in final
-
Although I really want Kobe to get it, his weak team is bringin him down so I think its between Shaq or James..
-

Hmm....what game did you watch on Christmas? Maybe your brother was playin NBA Live and used Miami on Rookie mode, and you saw the score on the screen and thought it was ABC.
-
I'mma go with that boy Dirk...
-
Shaq or Tim, i think it's a toss up between them too. L. James won't win it, i think he's overated
-
Steve Nash
Fuck Phoenix! :-* ;)
^^^y u hatin on phoenix......
my pick is also steve nash
-
I think it will be Shaq or Nash.
I like Tim Duncan and think he's the best player in the league, but he won't get it because he is the "anti-popular" NBA basketball player because he prefers to play a very fundamental style of ball instead of the emphatic, flashy style that every one likes these days.
-
Steve Nash
Fuck Phoenix! :-* ;)
^^^y u hatin on phoenix......

ah nah i dont hate on phoenix i was just fuckin with hittman......

slap yo self fool :)

i picked Duncan....surprise :o lol
hisairness said it tho, he might not get it based on not being the "popular" player. He doesnt draw a lot of attention to himself. But this award is supposed to be based on who is the MOST VALUABLE player to their team. Its kinda funny how popularity can play into this, and against Duncan when he's probably the best "team player" out of all these guys. This guy is so unselfish its amazing, for a superstar. Bottom line, i think this is one of the closest MVP races ever. There are SO many players this year who are deserving. Normally u might have 3 or 4 players at the MOST. This year its at least 6.
-
Nash no doubt. Without him, Suns are a good team. With Nash, Suns are probably the best team in the league.
Best coach: D'Antoni (i know him very well, since i'm Italian..). He's getting big wins, and he's playing Showtime.
-
I'm gonna pick Nash but remember Kidd did the same thing with the Nets in 2001-2002 and wasn't MVP ???
-
shaq or duncan
-

theyre 1-2 against the Spurs...
i have a hard time taking Pheonix seriously. During the regular season, yes. But once playoff time comes...this style isnt gonna stand up. Over the years, how many teams that play this style of ball have looked amazing during the season (tons). How many have actually won a championship...or even really came close, none. The Showtime Lakers in the 80's used to run alot...but they could also play half court, which pheonix cant. Not to mention, they play absolutely no defense. They remind me of the Mavericks over the last few years. Dont be surprised to see them really stumble in the playoffs.

steve nash is the eminem of basketball...
over-rated bcoz he is white

Man i was talking about the Regular Season. The MVP is a trophy you give to the best player of the Regular Season. And imo he's Steve Nash. And the Suns are the best team, considering how much they improved from last year, and the fact they score more than everybody else in the league. I didnt say they'll win the NBA. I think Detroit, Miami and Spurs are still better for the Play Offs. But i think it's right to give them props for this season.

i know, my point was...in the regular season the spurs hold the edge still. AND, they both won one close game....and the Spurs destroyed them in the first. Improving the most from last year doesnt make u the best. Also, i didnt mention anything about Nash when it comes to the playoffs, i was talking about the Suns.
-
id say LB James
-
Alot of y'all chose Nash simply bcoz ESPN & TNT analyst saying he should win it....... ::)
Amare Stoudamire is more of a factor to Phoenix than Nash , take away Amare and you'll see their game gets lowered, he's such a big scorer for them right now and has been consistent all season.
LeBron James should be tha winner without a doubt coz everyone can see tha without him tha Cavs is bullshit, anytime he gets substituted their game gets lame. he tha heart and sould of tha tha Cavaliers...........hate LeBron all you want but you have to give credit where credit is due......

Tim Duncan
