They really need to get some big names back in the dunk contest. I think Amare is too tall to win it, plus the kid JR Smith from NO has some crazy hops....Im gonna go with him.

Andersen has no chance because he's white.. I remember him being fucked hard last year when his first dunk got least points and was the dopest of the first dunks.. anyway.. I hope Josh Smith wins, dude can go up pretty hard.

Yeah, that was the only good part about the contest. Come to think of it, wasn't he the only one who made even more than three in a row? I thought it was funny that when a guy made two, Steve Kerr and Kenny SMith would say something like "watch out, he's getting hot" or "he's found his rythym" and the guy would miss the next four!!

^he denied like last year. he got a cold and he had to play on friday as well. next year however, he won't be in the game on friday. so I hope he finally doesnt puss out on the dunking contest. you have to understand there's much pressure on him.. imagine he doesnt win the contest.. that would be a disaster.

Lebron's "cold" can't be that big of a problem, he looked fine in the rookie game and sounded fine in every interview. I don't think he wants to get outdone by anybody else. I liked what Kenny Smith said last night when he called out Lebron, Vince Carter, and Kobe to come to the dunk contest next year against Josh Smith. Hopefully the most popular guys will participate and bring the dunk contest back up.

Hopefully the most popular guys will participate and bring the dunk contest back up.
^^That would be fucking sweet. But what i think they should do is increase the number of participants to at least 6. Imagine - LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Jason Richardson, and Josh Smith in a dunk contest. That would be amazing

It used to be like 8 participants...I dunno, I'm lost...They change it every year.
