As Dre turns 40 today i thot it would be cool if we got a discussion goin about his best work, producing and rapping
top 3's
1. Still Dre
2. Next Episode
3. Start from scratch
also wonderin wether Dre also uses Andre Young as a credited name? I noticed this on Game's new album on the track higher i think, it says co-produced by A.Young
-
"Noting But a G Thang" is considered his best song
-
his best work is probably Gin and Juice, Nothing But a G Thang, and Forgot about Dre
-
a lot of people consider Keep Their Heads Ringing his best
along wit G Thang.. Natural Born Killers.. Straight Outta Compton..
depends what generation you are I suppose!
-
still dre next episode? nah man u wanna check out more classic shit like his NWA stuff that is betta u cant really say dre's best he has been the best since he began its easier to ask his worst record
-
1.) Natural Born Killaz is one of my personal favorites
2.) Day the Ni**az Took Over really captures the feeling of the nation durring the riots... IMO it's one of his best songs.
3.) Gin and Juice is rounds out my top 3
Bonus picks: Xxplosive, lets get high, Keep Their heads ringing, Put it on me, Little Ghetto Boy
-
The G-Funk Intro is still one of my favorite tracks of all time.
-
Danny213 trust me i know about his ealrilier stuff, im a huge NWA fan but like Overseer said it depends what generation your from and its in my opinion. I mean Straight Outta Compton was an unbelievable track but in my opinion its Lyrics better than the song. It wasn't the beats that made NWA (sure it helped) it was more the outragous Lyrics at the time. In my opinion :)
-
Im bumpin Xxplosive & Lil Ghetto Boy the most these days
-
I always thought that the production on 'EFI4ZAGGIN' outshined the lyrics.
-
Deeez Nuuuts is my favorite Dre beat. Followed by Natural Born Killaz, then Keep Their Heads Ringin
-
Nuthin But a G thang was basicallly a sample(a dope one at that) so i dont consider it his best beat.
-
would you say Dre has more influence on todays generation than the late 80's early 90's generation? just thot id ask
-
If I had to pick one song that defines him, it's "Still D.R.E."
-

1. Forgot About Dre - Original, very tight beat, hot penned Eminem lyrics and hook.
2. Nuttin But A G Thang - Started the G Funk Str8 Ganxta
3. Keep Tha Heads Ringin - Hot beat, his sickest flow and raps on this one. I think the hook is dope too.
-
Next Episode was hella tight.

His best production is probably California Love, the beat is classic and nothing short of perfect.

i would say dre's best work was natural born killaz although it was co produced and prolly even co-written by sam sneed...talk about a beat to match the title
