actually, that's why we call it soccer, to avoid the confusion ;)

football is "football", american football is "american football"
where is the confusion ??? ??? ???

where is the confusion ??? ??? ???
americans call american football football. that's where the confusion is.
so if we all call american football football and football soccer, there can't be any confusion.

ehm... u're the one who brought up the whole confusion part...
and theres a difference between victorian english and american english...
if the word soccer exists, but isnt used for what were talking about here, then what does 'soccer' mean?
-
besides... I called it soccer from the start, so noone will confuse this topic with NFL (or whatever league) results
and second, I dont think anyone is stupid enought to think Barcelona or Milan are in America
so no confusion on that part either
