i have my new parts on order... a mother board and a new case... i already have an ATI 9600, 1 Gb of RAM, a 2.4 GHz P4, DVD RW/R drive...it's all set and hopefully everything will work out...
anyways if you've built a computer before...what are some problems you ran into or was everything smooth?
-
done it lots of times.. had and seen various problems over the years... at one point when i was the newbie i did internal support for the company i work for fixing the pc's n stuff..
-
so i should have no problems even though i'm scrapping just my Sony's mother board and case and using most of those parts? what i'm worried about is software issues, i've already checked that the RAM and processor slots are correct
-
eh? what kind of software issues...
-
ive built one (the one im using). I was pretty nervous that id ruin all these expensive parts, but actually it was very easy. Just take your time.
oh to answer your question, no i never ran into any problems.
-
eh? what kind of software issues...
just like all the drivers for most of these parts are on sony cd's....will i still be able to use those start up cd's for this computer?
if not i can always buy windows XP pro from the college for $10.00
-
hmm i dunno about that.. its like it might not work :/
i'd never buy a branded pc with that kind of limitation..
-
yea i bought it without doing any research on it... it's fine for everything but i didn't think i'd get into PC games too much and it's just garbage for pc games...that's why i just have to toss those two parts and keep everything else
-
i had some asian do it for me
-
Software should work but do you need all extra crap they offer...go for XP and OpenOffice :D
I will build my next pc.
