I was listening to Kurupt's We can freak It and I thought what the fuck happened to this dude

he put out an ok album on Ruthless (and his company Blast Ent.) around 2001 called "street fractions"
and was on that King Lou's Lounge thing...
he was meant to be coming with a compilation (the title was 'blue' something.. i think...)
apart from that.. not much!

What happened? Simple, his album bricked, didn't even sell wood. That's not to diss him, I was one of the 100 fans that did want to check out his album.
I remember back in 1998 when Kurupt dropped "We Can Freak It", that song should have blown up, the video was real smooth, Baby S came tight, everything seemed to be on point, it had radio apeal, but then nothing happened. The album barely went gold. Baby S was supposed to be the first artist Kurupt was going to drop on his label back then, but that label deal fell hard, and then Baby S released an album somewhere else and no one except serious West Coast cats even heard about it.

I own the og of street factions, I think its pretty cool. I like his voice and flow. his compilation that he was planning had a dope lineup, too bad it never came out.
