Post by: madsamoan on March 02, 2005, 06:59:47 PM: I believe one of the earliest if not the first rap metal song was called "Pickin' Up Metal" by Boo-Yaa Tribe from their "New Funky Nation"
debut album in 1990. They followed that with a 5 song EP called "Metally Disturbed" in 1996 and a full length rap metal album called
"Angry Samoans" in 1997. Ice- T's group Body Count can also be considered as well as Cypress Hill's last few albums. Hope this helps!

I'm not a fan of Cube and Dre, but I like Trent Reznor. Did Trent remix the song or did he really co-produce it?

For rap-metal. Check out a couple of RATM's most hip-hop'ish songs. Like
Rage Against The Machine - Bombtrack

Anthrax did a pretty good remix of Public Enemy's Bring Da Noise.
