Title: RBX - The RBX Files
Post by: Plumma25 on August 19, 2002, 02:01:39 AM
Alright, I was at my local Record Express yesterday and in the used cd's section they had a RBX album that I didn't even know came out.  Now I like RBX and all but only on tracks where he sounds right.  He don't sound right on tracks that are up tempo and "dance" songs.  But on songs that are dark and have crazy ass beats then he does real good.  Like "Like it was" on the new ALL STARS cd, it just doesn't fit him.  But others he sounds pretty good.  I was just wondering if anyone has heard it and give me a little review, is it worth buying???  What types of beats???  Its only 7.99 but I would like to know what I'm getting.

The Files is pretty dark, I had the album in mp3 on my PC a while ago, but had to reboot. It wasn't on constant rotation but sumtimes... And yeah it has a coupla good cuts (ex. "Rough is the Texture" & "Akebulan")

I dunno, but I think it's a pretty rare album...

I have had it for like a half year now, and I don't think I have heard the whole thing yet.  I think RBX is really tight, but his solo albums just don't do it for me.  There are some tight songs though for sure.

if you like his dark sh#t, like i do, then this is the perfect album for you.  so much dark on it.. and i think it's a very underrated album.  the songs really flow into eachother, besides a few bad tracks and stupid preaching.  i love it.

;D ;D ;D
Id say that this album is worth the pickup, it kinda has an old deathrow feel to it. AWOL is the dopest track.

His other one, no mercy, no remorse isnt good at all
