I know it's too early (won't come out before summer 2006) but what's your ideas to make this album very special ? I got on: Dre should do a song with differents beats from areas he went through. I mean the song would start with cube spits on a(new) Staight outta Compton beat style then snoop on a chronic-doggystyle beat, xzibit on a 2001 style, game on a 2004-2005 style and dre would finish on a fresh(detox) beat. What do u think ?

no

I got an idea. How about Dre produces the WHOLE album by himself and have only westcoast artists on it.
No G-unit please.

My thoughts exactly

When it comes to ideas for Detox, I'm taking the real simple approach,
12 tracks ( no skits )
Guest spots = Eminem, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Nate Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Busta Rhymes, Eve & dammit I'm ashamed to throw him on, but 50 Cent for a few hooks and maybe a dope verse if he has it in him...
Being that it's Dre's last album, I don't think it would need an overload of guests...looking at the
list, half the artists, including Dre are West Coast...and the rest is his Aftermath artists Eminem,
Busta Rhymes & Eve...then throw in Mary J. for a hook or 2, maybe some background vocals and we're good...
I'd split the tracks into 4 divisions...3 club cuts, 3 gritty street songs, 3 deep meaningful tracks, and 3 gangsta\N.W.A.-like material.
Only acceptable production = Dr. Dre \ Dr. Dre & Mike Elizondo \ or Dr. Dre & Scott Storch...no outside beats... 8)
-
a NWA reunion would be dope
-
no eve...no em..busta rhymes can do some hooks.......guest spots...game, snoop, daz, kurupt...lady of rage...warreng

Damn straight... Dre with Cube, Ren and... Lil E?
I dunno, but Dre said he was going to make Detox an album with all potential hitsingles, so don't expect that grimey gangsta thing.
-
no g-unit please!!! Just West Coast
-
with snoop dogg, ren , ice cube, xzibit, game, kurupt 8)

i dont think there should be any rap at all, i mean, dre is tryin to do this whole orchestra, he should just put out a new-age classical album, with just amazing music, ...
-
I got one thing I'd like to finally see: A track with both Dr. Dre and Warren G on it.

dre/mike/scott produce together but dre must handle the most of production!if dre is the biggest producer i want to listen a song from dre that he made only, all of keyboard,drum,bass,mix...mike and scott especially scott made dre producing perfect songs, they got a chemistary!
And the features must be:
Ice-T(plz!)
King-T
Daz
Warren
Nate
Hittman
Xzibit
Scott and Mike's themselfs(it sounds interesting)....and other real g'z
oh my god i forget...GEORGE CLİNTON!!!
if it is last solo album of dre it must be the best hip-hop album ever and ever!!!
no one can do it better!

lol why did you post it twice? ;)

^ it was necessary

As its dre's last album im unsure if i wanna hear an album that consists of the classic west coast artists he has worked with in his career eg nwa artists, death row and now aftermath. Or to just keep it real simple and have mainly dre with a few guest appearences. the more guest appearences there is the more likely the album will have more tracks, but quantity dont mean quality.
-
^^ I'm with Kuruption all the way on that one...for Detox guests, less is more in my opinion. I mean if it were up to me, I'd have alot of the West Coast cats that Dre worked with back in the day, but being realistic one has to realize the direction Dre likes to go...he never likes to take a step backwards, so it's real hard to believe that artists like Hittman, Kurupt, Cube, Ren, etc will be on Dre's album. It'd be sick if they were, but odds are that Dre's just gonna stick to the artists he has strong ties to and works with on a regular basis. A few surprises would be dope though.

That concept would be great for that song that is supposed to feature all his proteges. I Never thought about changing the beat like that, damn this would be the shit.
-
Here would be my wish for Detox (I know I am dreaming)
17 tracks
every track produced by dre
9 solo tracks
only guest apopearences:
Snoop
Crooked I
Xzibit
Kurupt
Game
Yukmouth
Spice 1
Ice Cube
Holy shit i know thats untealistic because all of the beefs between those guys but seriosley how sick would this cd be
-
I wanna hear daz up on detox
-
yup so do i the only reason i left him off my list of guests is because i had kurupt on there
-
Well, i guess i'll mention a few things i've had on my mind about this album. Production wise, Dre's as producer for the entire album, with his usual in house co-producers, it would also be cool if Dre teamed up with his idol Quincy Jones on one of the tracks. I would really like to hear a few guitar heavy tracks, with the guitar played by the one and only Carlos Santana. It would be nice if the sound was a perfect blend of "musical" and "Rap". As far as guest appearances, i dont care, i'm not going to get on that only "westcoast peeps" bullshit (even though they sound the best over his beats:)), as long as snoop is on one track, i'm cool, it wouldnt be a dre album without him
-
100% produced by dre, wit 3 co produced songs with quik, battlecat, and fredwreck.
DOC helping write the whole thing.
Guests: snoop, kurupt, nate, daz, warren g, rbx, lady of rage, warren g, quik, ren, cube, sam sneed, bo roc, michelle.
-
Production handled by dre only.
guest appearences
50(a hook or two)
eminem
crooked i
bishop lamont
tha game
bg knoc(when he gets out)
dresta
cube(old ice cube)
spitfiya and another unsigned west coast dope rapper
-
He should have Eve ghostwrite a couple of tracks for him, have eminem as co-producer on every song, only have non-west coast rappers like busa busa rappin on it, with 50 cent telling him who he can or cant rap with.
Under no circumstances should he allow the likes of The D.O.C, hittman write material for the album, let snoop rap on it, produce it by himself and feature any westcoast artist like ice cube, mc ren, dj quik, fredwreck...touch Detox.
Now that would be a worthy sequel to the Chronics. In the twighlight zone that is too roo too roo
-
Dr. Dre and Mel-Man doin' tha production along witt DJ Quick..........., no G-Unit, NO Feminem 8) keep it strictly Westcoast
-
an 8-10 minute track called "Some LA Niggaz Part II"
peace

Yeah, no G-Unit ever on a Dre track! Hopefully no 50 either, but I doubt that. Tony Yayo is extremely gay.
-
a dogg pound reunion track...dre can make it happen
peace
-
i know what everyone wants but you guys are joking yourselves if you think em and 50 wont be on this cd, out of everyone they are garunteed to be on there
-
A bonus CD with unreleased tracks from his vault from the Death Row era.
And he should sample some more P-Funk.
