Caught Up soundtrack .......... "Girl" featuring the Luniz. This verse was just sick! The whole song was sick. Crooked I tells a story about a "Girl" ....... the girl happens to be the "Ghetto". Its just a sick sick verse that captures your mind like it was a movie.
"She was a gangsta ass bitch , the greatest of all time
She took my heart and my mind, turned me to a life of crime
Now I'm under pressure to impress her
I wake up , put on my bullet proof vest and
grab my Smith & Wessin off the dresser
then I , hop up in a chopped up rag Tray
When I , cross your path you're havin a bad day
Cuz I , make the automatic mag spray
Gimme the cash , she taught me to get mine the fast way
I creep on ballers while they blaze joints
I'm snatchin caine boulders and jackin Range Rovers at gauge point
Under hypnosis , robbin the closest nigga
The diagnosis - psychosis, the psyrosis is from doses of liquor
that I'm sippin by the picture, tryin to ditch ya
but when ever she get dug, the bitch will be witcha for richer
or poorer, through sickness and health
Eyewitness, if I shake this mistress I can handle business myself
But I love her so much I'm stuck in her clutches
I talk about her, can't walk without her, she's my crutches
She showed a young nigga how to check grip
Connectin me with the correct licks to collect chips
And if I leave her, no question I'm destined to hurt
And she's the reason half of the homies are restin in dirt
Is Crooked I next ? I'll probably get dropped by some metal
Just for comin around my girl (who?)...... the ghetto."
STILL INCREDIBLE TO THIS VERY DAY. :o

Okay hack...
But only on your suggestion...
Okay...https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A5GbXt-mxMA
I listened, but I'm not in the right frame of mind today...
Probably trip if I listened to the war disc too...
Don't feel like throwing my rap away....
I can relate to the theme of being down for and into something that is not good for you, regardless of the perceived rewards...
Crookeds verse doesn't read the same as he spits...
His delivery and enunciation is technically solid but I'm tripping on themes these days, trying to be mindful of what I encourage through the power of purchase....

First time I ever heard Crooked was on that joint too, his flow and wordplay were too ill along with the voice.
If he'd stayed in that lane he would have been something else but I can't stand the modern incarnation of this potential dope MC.
