and why did they change their group name?

the new name is tha liks, not likwit. they wanted to blow up. you dont do that if your name is heroine addict. any of the first 3 albums are good.

Hmmm... I LOVE 21&Over... I quite much like Likwidation, and then again... XO Experience wasn't bad (but it was quite poppy after all), and Coast II Coast is pretty good too... Erm... I'd recommend any of their group albums! Anyway, I'd say...
1. 21 & Over (1993)
2. Likwidation (1997)
3. Coast II Coast (1995)
4. XO Experience (2001)
Still highly anticipating their new album "Fire Water", which should be coming out any time soon...
About their name change... Tha Liks sounds easier and shorter - Alcoholics has a negative sound to it, so if you're going to be popular, that would not really be a good name.

Firewater was supposed to be dropping back in May 2004, but it got pushed back A LOT. It's supposed to be coming out somewhere in 2005, but there's no set date for it yet. This WILL be their last group album, but they've promised it would be a "grand finalé".

i have all those albums and they all sound the same to me... some cool tracks there and here, i dont like likwidation though, the whole album sounds the same

21 & Over really is a GREAT album. It's a perfectly entertaining album, I personally like it about as much as for example The Chronic (!!!) 4.9/5 for that album. Mad funny album, and yet it's some really good hiphop/rap full of great lyrics.
Likwidation really has a good vibe, I love drinking to this album. There's not many standout tracks, but then again, no weak cuts either. 4/5
Coast II Coast has a bit more of that underground vibe, not my personal favorite of Tha Alkaholiks as I prefer hearing them just messing about like idiots, but still this is a good album. 3.75/5
XO Experience is poppy, but I like it. Not much to say, I think this album appeals to a wider audience than their other albums. HipPop at it's finest, although it might be just a bit too heavy for that. 3.75/5

IMO, Likwidation (1997)
There first two were great. But this album had so much flavor. It was a very versatile album. They took chances on this album and it worked. Great album.

Likwitdation to me is thier Best Album, E Swift beats where on point and Tash and J-ro ripped every tracc, the album was mad slept on.
