i find it hella odd that both 2pac and the notorious b.i.g.'s last interviews were at KMEL, bay area radio station. shit just trips me out, cos i grew up listening to that station back home.. thats pretty damn historical landmark status for KMEL right there, getting the last radio interviews from two of the greatest ever.
-
yeah
-
I didn't know that, but it's true, that's weird...
Now, are you saying this might have anything to do with their murders?
-
Now we know for sure 2Pac is still alive!
-
yeah i heard KMEL hired the killer because they were unhappy with the interviews :o
-
Fuck what people are saying in this topic... Theres a time for funny and theres a time for serious.
I figure you could look at it one of two ways. Either like It's like a cloud hanging over KMEL, or it's a blessing for the people that got to listen to it. I'm gonna go with the second.
It's still one of the best stations on the West Coast IMO, but it's messed up that two of the greatest of our time did their last interviews there.

so why were you laughing?
-
it's funny at the first moment cuz it's clear that they haven't hired the killers...but 2 legends are dead....R.I.P. to you Pac and Biggie

If I recall, Biggies interview was at 94.9 Wild, right across from Kmel. ;)

94.9 is hella gay sometimes... KMEL is tight.

Not quite.
Notorious BIG's last interview was with Wild 94.9 FM here in San Francisco, not 106 KMEL. Even though they have a friendly rivalry both stations
are owned by Clear Channel Communications and share the same building on Townsend Street, near SBC Park.
Notorious BIG's last interview was with Wild 94.9's famous morning talk show team, The Doghouse. Props to the homie San Pablo for pointing this out.
RIP to Pac & Biggie

are u sure about the 94.9 thing. i searched wild 94.9 and notorious b.i.g. on the searhc engine and couldnt come up with shit. but searching kmel interview and biggie turned up a lot. and this is straight from DAVEY D's article...
"March 4 1997 Notorious BIG rolled through KMEL's Breakfast Club and did his last radio interview."

Trust me on this one, It was at Wild. 94.9 FM for i listened to the interview myself when it all went down. It has been mentioned time and time again in newspapers, magazines,TV,etc that his last interview was with The Doghouse at 94.9 FM and the guys still
talk about it to this day about conducting what turned out to be his last interview before leaving for L.A. where he was murdered.

Interesting. I find it hard that Wild 94.9 FM would tell the whole world that they conducted BIG's last interview, not KMEL ???
