does anyone remember that will smith 'freestyle' over the how we do beat on radio 1. i remember some people being dubious about it being a freestyle and sure enough, the lyrics for track 1 are those exact lyrics.
i'm not hating though, i just picked up the cd and i'm liking what i hear so far, especially production wise.

Im probably alone on this, but im feelin that "Switch" track. i might give this one a listen
the album cover is hard

Listening to it now... I'll upload it to the hookup spot in a minute.
From what I've heard so far, it's actually disappointing imo.

For real? Where did you hear this? I new Nas wrote "gettin' jiggy wit it"
-
Anyone notice that his lyrics on the intro are the same as the ones on his "Freestyle" on the Tim Westwood show?
-
these young cats can front on will all they want, hes one of the illest storytellers in rap history

All I know is Kwame produced Switch and one other song. Jazzy Jeff did some songs too.

had time to listen to the whole album now. it starts well enough (switch, partystarter) but goes dramatically downhill. i heard will recorded close to 50 songs for this album so they all must of sucked or something. i dunno what tunes jazzy was involved with but it sounds like a lot of it is stuck somewhere inbetween trying to be trendy and trying to be 'a bit more real' than his previous funky sampled outings. the end result is poor cause it's not funky and there are clearly songs which are trying to run with a dre or storch sound but are just plain bad.
the best produced track is the timbaland beat and even on that will is just ripping of luda's style rather than being himself.
2/10
tips for will - stick to good samples or get some hotter producers if he wants to try and be hip

Will Smith is terrible!

tips for will - hip hop is beneath you nowadays, only do it if you enjoy it and don't worry about what cynical "fans" might think
