Post by: themovie on August 11, 2002, 08:05:54 AM
Both are fresh new talents from the west coast, which one is better and which album will be better ?
Eastwood's debut album or E-white's debut album ? (About lyrics and production).

Both are very dope ...I like both styles, flow, lyrics are are different. E-White is way more laid back IMO... I 'm feelin' Eastwood more, but he'll nerver release an albumon Tha Row. IF he would do, he'd have tight production no doubt. But the Row producers can't step to Dogghouse inhouse producers like BC, Meech or this new fool whose name i can't spell...plus Snoop got a lot of guest producers like Hi-Tec.

Anyway I'd go with Eastwood!

Maynnnnn Im feelin E White fo shizzle....Tha song with him and RBX is fuckin sick!  Hes definatly got talent and potential, he's with the right crew, I just hope Snoop gets his solo shit going soon so we can hear what he's made of.

I havnt heard much Eastwood, and what Ive heard from E White has been really dope, so Im going with E White. ;)

E-white has written 2 of the tightest songs on "Return of the regulator":Ghetto Village and Streets of Lbc....

To me,this song is really tight:

"Artist: (Warren G)  E-WHITE
Album:  Return of the Regulator
Song:   Streets of LBC

{*gun shot*}

[Chorus]
I saw ppl dancing in the streets
Streets of a lonely city
Listen to the beats
The people strike their feet on the lonley concrete streets of..
streets of a lonely city

[Warren G]
Some niggaz quick to get it confused
This is where its cracking at (wassup ?)
Big city of music
We're only half of that
What happens after midnight
Goes up spoke of
Cos broke niggaz where im at they dont show no love
I done witness the concrete jungle in
Watch the niggaz turn soft and leave humble-in
Since i been young i hung out, hard knock
Played my hand when they delt my cards
Now check it out whats real is whats happening
Now this is where i deal with and where i live at
Not to many of us make (make it)  it to see the day we able to make a statment (statment)
The ways of the world has gone crazy
Two things never change, thats the music and what the rules of the game is
Now everybody knows ur name
It aint no other place to turn
But i better get a hold on this street shit i learnt it (learnt it)

I saw ppl dancing in the streets
Streets of a lonely city
Listen to the beats
The people strike their feet on the lonley concrete streets
streets of a lonely city

[Warren G]
Take it back when i never had much
A little bad nigga scrappin over mad stuff (gimme that fool)
But i was born with a hunch for this shit
My nigga dead beats, still i hustle a bit
Help my mother make ends meet
Its hard is god watchin?
Non stop while the cops roll by on my block
I see paper dancing in the street
So whats the chance i can make the money work for me?
But it hurts to see yo niggaz doing dirt
For a livin so i put in work with this gift i was given
Now might i mention that i was blessed by god
And im down for anything that makes life less hard
No matter where you are it can happen to anybody
Its how it was when i came up
And now i talk about it
LBC city of music
G-funk you tell me
We do's it"

Man, not to argue about it, but.. he has co-written it. With other guys too. You making it like E-White totally wrote it.

U WRONG!
Look at the credits:Written by warren griffin,E white, Joseph salter and douglas wood.
Contains interpolations from the composition "New york New York" written by Joseph salter and douglas wood.

E-white has written the whole song, warren g has written the music, and the other guy are credited for the sample.
:-X

Ok, i got the album. But why Warren G only music and E-White only lyrics? Who knows? Maybe E-White just wrote the hook, or helped Warren G. Who knows? Btw yeah, he wrote or co-wrote it. They are 2 great tracks btw, expecially Streets of LBC. And you can feel the "help" of E-White cause lyrically they are so deep.

Well.. then relax. Bullshit? What's bullshit? I aint saying shit, just thinking about your posts. Cause 1 thing is to quote Warren G saying E-White totally wrote the two tracks (quote it. And i aint saying he didnt), and another thing is to suppose he did it just cause you read that credits from the booklet. Cause if you think like that, it says Warren G wrote the lyrics too. So wassup with that? If you got a quote about Warren G saying E-White totally wrote the track, then ok. It's cool. But you cant make assumptions like that, man. Simple as that.

But i think nobody cares in the free world (quoting James Patterson..)

Btw my vote goes for Eastwood at the moment. He got a better flow and he's perfect with Crooked I and Kurupt.
