Well I waz going over some Dre material and most of his production is co-produced by Storch or Elizondo. who u think is better Storch or Dre
-
are u serious ??? DRE MUFUCKA
-
Dre's the best as far as quality of music. Storch has those dope melodies tho.
-
id go for dre but storch has proven he can make his own hits and although dre probably isn't bothered storch is making a lot more hits at the moment. that fat joe get it poppin tune is mad funky.
-
It'll always be debateable on how much effort Dre really puts into the beats, but he's still by far the best. Honestly IMO Scott Storch is overrated.
-
dre
-
DRE hands down
scott's styles hasnt changed since his work on 2001....
dre hasnt changed much but we knew he changed alot since 1986 and he is developing a new sound now
-
dr. dre!!!!! dont even compare storch to him ...dre iz a legend
-
i think the main difference between scott storch and dre beats are the drums. the drums storch uses are cookie-cutter and sometimes boring, but dre's always seem to hit hard and he comes up with creative sounds and patterns that are just dope
on the melodies lately, i gotta give it to storch on his solo stuff tho
but we'll see when dre drops detox because im sure there will be more storch/dre co-produced beats...
-
Over the last year, Storch. Right now, Storch
All time- Dre, hands down.
-
??? dre of course. Storch is mad overrated
-
Storch is better he can make a beat by himself
-
Dr. Dre will always be the best, storch though has some dope hits. 8) 8) 8)
-
DRE...but storch has great potential to be a top producer
-
At this current moment....Storch!, Dre aint be givin' us (the OLDier cats) the original gangsta beats, nemore! listen to the chronic, doggystle, Em's first 2 albums, the nwa stuff, the firm etc... Man those beats were sick! i mean when u heard them u be like "That a Dre beat!" but now when u hear new dre stuff u be like, not sure if dre did the beat! (The original Aftermath production team of Flossy P, Budda, Glove, and Stu-B-Doo, were sick! )
-PEACE-

Dre Does the most part of the beat and has his touch which made the beat better. If it wasn't the case tell me why a Dre beat (with a co-producer) sounds better than Storch solo beat. Same thing for Mel Man.
-
Storch is better he can make a beat by himself
I agrre with u man...I am the biggest fan of dre..but i have to say this...scott is the best producer in rap game today and he will be a legend in future...a lot of dre beat produced by scott, like "X" "Let Me Blow Yo Mind" "Poppin Them Thangs" and so many...i think produce means produce new melodies and playing them with keyboards, than u can add bass and drums, so u produced a new song...scott producing new melodies with keyboard for dre, mike playing bass and making drums for dre, than dre get them and mixin...the most important thing in a beat is melody and Scott doin this for dre and himself..."DRE IS A LEGEND(no.1),SCOTT IS A NOMINIE TO BE A LEGEND"
-
alotta producers been imitating dre's styles since 2001 thats why u cant tell if its dre or not
scott storch
JR (aftermath in house producer)
HI-TEK (some times not always)
basically the whole idea of a simple beat is being imitated alot now
-
it's still dre day nigga!
-
wanna see some dre produced beats on detox or in the future without co producers
-

don't think so. dre was in this game since 21 years and had a huge impact on this hip hop shit. Nowadays hip hop is nearly dead so how Scott can become a legend ? in making club hits ? Hell no. Don't get me wrong Scott has talent but I feelin more Elizondo or Focus
-
I guess they askin about CURRENT work...then its Storch no doubt....Dre havent done that has grabbed me in a while now...(except for higher)

DRE is the biggest name in rap history...We cant compare him with anybody...But nowadays dre is using talent producers to produce songs for him, right?Bud'da, Mel-Man, Mike Elizondo,Scott Storch, Focus is the producers who influenced by dre...especially scott had similer style with dre when he was in roots, tahn dre realized him and start to use him for keyboards...now dre using him as co-producer,dre always using co-producers today...but scott doin similer songs without dre...so we can say scott better than dre to make a beat,....nowadays dre isn't a producer he is a mixer, right?
-
dre is obviously my choice
BUT...i think as of recently, storch is making a lot of the beats that sound like dre and people want to hear
storch is keepin the 2001 dre beats alive, while dre is trying different stuff....i wasn't really impressed with dres work on 50's new album, but he did do a good job on The Game cd...
-
The motherfuckin' D-R-E man!!! Without any questions!!!
-
Scott Storch is developing into a seriously ill producer, but his major flaw is that alot of his beats sound the same. It's one thing to shape up a specific sound, but Storch has been really lazy in terms of creativity. "Lean Back", "Candy Shop" and "U Make Me Wanna" all sound like they were recorded in the same session...still, top notch beats. The shit he did for Beyonce was tight, but still...he works alot better side by side with Dre. For example, "Poppin' Them Thangs" and "Time's Up" are closely related in terms of sound, but Poppin' Them Thangs is hella sicker, cuz Dre's got untouchable drums and he knows how to mix in the right ingredients. Dre's a legendary producer, Scott Storch....not yet, but he's got potential. Imo, Dre + Storch = fire...G'd Up, In Da Hood, Still D.R.E., Start From Scratch, Westside Story...the list goes on, they work dope together...but Doc Dre's better ;D

I love Scott Storch, and he has learned a lot from Dre ever since he was recruited as a keyboardist for 2001. He was there with Dre when he created that new sound so it is only makin sense he took his learnings and started producin and makin melodies in the same style as Dre. I really think it is beautiful, it's kind of the same thing with Eminem, Mel-Man, Focus and Mike Elizondo.

A big reason I think Storch is somewhat overrated. Throw the beat he did for Fab in there...they all more club-like beats. It really gets tiresome if ya ask me. Dre still bringin' bangers though with "Higher" and the title track "Encore". Storch is nice at the minute, but Dre is a living legend. Period.
-
This is easy who has the better mix understand who has the better concept
-
Dre for sure, Storch is dope, but i agree with most the hits he's made are soundin the same
-
Dre for sure, simply becuz he been in the game longer and has reinvented his sound over the course of his career....he never sounds the same for very long, and everything new he comes out with simply sounds dope! Every now and then he'll dip back into the Chronic era with a smooth beat, but I'm starting to like his new shit where he's beginning to add much more piano & "music" to his productions (i.e., g'd up, live by the gun)...the one thing that separates Dre from Storch (and every other producer) is his crisp, clean sound. Everything is mixed perfectly...sometimes, storch's beats sound outta sync..
-
Really stupid question, Dre of course
-
Dre. It shouldn't even be a discussion.
Scott Storch is tight as hell. He waters his shit down too much and his style is repetetive. I'm a big fan of his though.
Dre is just a mixer now? lol what have you been smokin. Dre's producin just as much as before, just with musicians to help him make it better. Dre plays instruments, but he works with people who are professional musicians who he believes will make it better. Dre is like an orchestrator and he wants the best people out there to put his ideas into dope ass music.
Mike Elizondo himself said that Dre used to tell him how he wanted it to be, but these days he also lets him compose his own things on Dre's breaks. That's why you see him as a co-producer. It's still Dre. Let any of Dre's musicians go on their own and see if they'll come close to Dre. Storch is a dope ass beat-maker, but as a producer there's not even a question about it.
peace.
-
dre, hands down
-
gotta go with dre! but if we are asking that how about dre vs quik??
-
storch or quik?
-
Storch can be wack at times. Dre and Quik are on point.
-
Dre made storch.
Storch's strong point is he has a knack for making a catchy beat. I'm truly amazed at how catchy his stuff is. But no doubt he's just a prince in Dre's kingdom.
How many top notch, world class producers or rappers coming out of storch's camp beside Scott himself? None. Dre not only makes hits, he makes hit makers. Producers like Storch , Mike E, Mel Man... Rappers like Snoop, Em, Game, etc..
Dre touches things and they become bigger.
Storch loses some points with me since he did that beat for tupac's last one and threw in that self promoting tagline "This is a scottstorch production" or whatever the fuck it said.. I thought I was hearing a beat jacked from soundclick..
-
I think its pretty funny when alot of yall is sayin that Storch is repatitive...and Dre hasnt been since "in tha club"????? Cmon now...

Well Dre has his sound too ofcourse, and I reall ywasn't trying to say something bad about Scott coz I'm a big fan of his. But when you're makin hit after hit for various artists, your stuff is easily gonna be watered down, coz there's only so much creative you can do in a short time.
Dre hasn't really come with a new sound, but he does produce a lot of different shit. He does use some of the same patterns and make new beats with them, but something that really attracts me to Dre's productions is all the little details you don't really catch on a first listen, and his sound is clean as fuck.
Ah I could go on forever but I have to go and wash my car lol. I'm not trying to force my opinion on anyone, I'm just clear about how I look at it lol.
peace

The good Doctor is the man with the masterplan... but...
Storch has great potential, also keep in mind his work with dre.
-
Dre man!
But Storch been making some great beats as of late
-
Dre
-
Wat a stupid topic... of course dre is betta, storch can go out and work wit a thousand artists copyin dre's style, at the end of the day detox will jus change the game like 2001 did.. i hope anyway
