this comparison just kinda popped into my head. It seems like both artists get a lot of support within the industry (both host events, tv shows, movies ect), and everyone knows who they are, people outside of Hip Hop like em, but neither seem to sell any records. It's not even that they make bad records, just nobody buys them. It's weird to me.

Yeah... both are kinda like a mainstream underdog.
It's funny, they're both charasmatic enough to succeed outside of making records (Pimp My Ride etc) but that love never crosses back over to their CDs. Guess it's the machine... ???

I was thinkin the same thing yesterday lol

yeah man good comparency, they also both funny as hell ::)

Neither one gets the support or promotion from their labels it seems to me. I didnt even know X dropped a new cd until the day it dropped. If you look at other labels/artists (aftermath for example) they are all over the media when they are droppin a cd.
-
Actually they are both platium selling artists so I wouldn't say nobody buys thier records.
-
they definitely dont get enough support and publicity from their label ..

man you get my props for postin this shit up, i was thinking of doing a method man vs xzibit poll last a couple of days ago, but then i had no energy to do it, but its straight, you posted up a pretty similar to post to what i was gonna do
they both live

They're both weird artists. Cats don't know how to markey them. Lots of people don't know how to receive them either because they're kinda mainstream but then again they're kinda underground.
-
yeah its probably like x said..the labels knew they are known and and didnt promote them much
-
Yeah thats a good comparison. Very Good one indeed.
