It's right up there along with Doggystyle, Things Fall Apart, and Bahloone Mindstate, that's for certain.

Its not even on the same level of those albums espically Doggystyle IMO... Just listen to 'Whatever U Do' actually fuck that, listen to the whole album. Its ahead of its time Musically wise...
-
after seeing the replies it seems that we still party is a track that people love or hate coz people that have it in their top 5 have it an no1. and there are others like me who dont even have it in the top 5.....very interesting

best album ever made... period
-

Whats the song with El Debarge that goes

Hell nah. Defenitely one of the best rap records ever, but i dont know how you can call it advanced. Sampling old P Funk records and adding some high synths aint advanced enough to call it musically advanced to me. Dont get me wrong, now I love the shit outta the Chronic, but it just aint musically advanced.

That's definitely 100% truth, take his word for that. The Chronic was definitely great, and was doin some things nobody had done, but it really was just re-playin P-Funk and addin a new dimension to it. Not only did Quik compose all original beats for it, but these beats had the musicianship that even 50+ year old jazz musicians could respect. Many adults liked the fact that Dre was givin props to funk with The Chronic, but many didn't admire it because the beats weren't original and he was just re-doin em. However, people like my Dad don't like too much of any rap at all, but he can listen to the songs on Rhythmalism as if they were from his favorite Jazz musicians, and that says a lot.
-
LoL at The Chronic being the most Musically advanced rap album ever made...Its all made up of samples. But its still one of the best produced albums of all time and in my top 5 overall.
Rythm-al-ism has sold a lil over a million so far...

-
that albumis overrated
uuuum...no. Secondly this album is the most musically advanced album created. I know I'm late on this, but out of all the rap that I have been listening to seriously for the past three years I have finally started listening to dj quik. I already know the work of great producers like dre obviously, daz, warren g, big hutch, and battlecat; but now I finally understand the whole dre vs. quik comparision. I didn't need anymore proof just alone on safe and sound and rhythmalism. As far as rhythmalism goes... :o :o :o!
Here's is my top five:
we still party
so many ways
I useta know her
speed
medley for a v
Right now I am trying to get quik is the name.
-
We Still Party
I Useta Know Her
Medley for a 'V' (The Pussy Medley)
Hand In Hand
So Many Wayz
*Get 2Getha Again / Speed*
too many... this could be my all-time favorite cd.....
-
1. so many wayz
2. we still party
3. you'z a ganxsta
quik is definitely the most "musical" producer on the west coast. the greatest variety in terms of instruments and sounds. however, i typically give the nod to battlecat in terms of best producer on the west, as he is more consistent in terms of bringing heat. but when quik is on top of his game, cats really aren't fucking him.
dre gets my nod as best "tweaker", and quik is probably a close second there.

Rythymalism unfortunately didnt even go Gold

eminem flows good on all of his tracks ex. gatman and robin
how is this relevant?
-
Rythymalism unfortunately didnt even go Gold

yeah and that was 6 years ago...Im sure it has hit a lil over 1 million. They didnt certify it becuase Quik doesnt belong to Arista anymore I think.
