I just found this old mix cd I made back in like 01 with "Streetz Illustrated" on it so I grabbed my copy of "Personal Business" and popped it in...
Man I forgot how tight this cd is! Just about every verse from Bad was on point. All the guest brought somethin nice to the tracks (except that Snoopy Collins bullshiet), and that dogg house production was bangin! I still dont see why Bad Azz aint one of everybodys favorite West Coast artist.
Favorite tracks: "U Don't Wanna Be Broke", "Ready 2 Bang", "Streetz Illustrated", "Don't Wanna Die", etc
if you aint got this cd yet get it order it off amazon, its dumb cheap

My favortie shit on there is 4 dr Cadillac. That beat is one of the best beats ive ever heard. It just puts me in a good ass mood, like I can do anything I feel wit no consequence. Yeah its a real tight album. There aint a whole lot of albums better than that.
-
yeah dope album
my favourites are .Wrong Idea , Don't Wanna Die, Streetz Illustrated, 4DR.Cadillac , money to fold...
-
I still listen to this album every now and then a very solid album.

Personal Business is slept on because it's a wack! I put it into my cd player one time and never put it back in again. Maybe that's why I never liked it, I didn't give it enough of a chance....
Anyway.... The real Bad Azz album is "Word On The Streets"! That album is bangin! That's the album that should have blown up and gone platinum. Bad Azz had alot of juice back in 96, and the album just came out a couple years too late after the world had already redirected it's attention down south and they weren't checkin for Long Beach artists. I remember the video "Puttin It Down" with Snoop, I think Snoop was wearing a No Limit jersey, he was just gettin started with No Limit at the time. "The Last Time" is one of my favorite cuts to reminisce to, and "Stand" is tight I love the Jordan Maxwell part, "Continued Dedication" and "Money Houses and Cars" are both laid back West Coast signature cuts... and most all the songs on the album are worth a listen. We need an appreciation thread for "Word On The Streets", forget "Personal Business". You can just look at the cover and tell which album is better, in one of them he's just in regular clothes sittin back chillin, his album didn't even sell gold, yet on the next album cover for "Personal Business" he's actin like he's a billionare CEO or something.

Didnt Personal Business drop right when priority records went bunk or somethin ?
I thought this cd did blow up when it first came out , i remember a gang of cats throwin it up , i still think its bad azz's best work
-
i don't like bad azz's cds, he's only good when he's the featured artist, he's mad overrated

yeah it was around that time.. also it got bootlegged.. snoop saved the album.. thats why u see the doggystyle logo in there.. snoop went in and put himself on it for the single (wrong idea) and stopped them dropping bad from the label..
i like bad azz's stuff.. i actually really like the "money run" album after not liking it at first, and "Executive Decision" aint too shabby either

I always wondered about this...which leads me to the next topic I'm about to post up...
But yea, I loved the hell out of this that whole year, especially the summer. That one CD made me go from sayin Bad Azz was just another one of Snoop's homies who could rap a lil, to him bein one of my top 3 artists at the time. I never knew how real he was. I think his name alone killed his chances of ever blowin up though.

Personal Business is one of my favorite albums.
there's a ton of Battlecat production and some other good tracks... The best is "Money 2 Fold" 8)
