just wondering if people still have the album in heavy rotation. now its been out a while i think i can be more objective about it and its not in such heavy rotation for me atleast.
just wanted to say that it is a tightly produced album but i keep going back to the dr dre tracks and have been playing the timbaland beat every time i've had a set for the past few months. i somehow feel that it could of been a real classic album if it had a few more dre beats and to top it all off, a track produced by quik would of really killed it. i don't think the game is the best mc but the quality of some of those dre records would fit nicely on any classic cd.
i also woulda liked to hear maybe a scott storch remix to that compton beat, that coulda been mad and there's a tune called count on me which is thought was really tight (50 cents on it again though) and as close to anything with a quik influence the game has beat wise (anyone know who produced that). and the tune with marry j on the documentary, it's nice as hell, really interested to hear what dre does on her upcoming cd.
thats my lot

thats the only shit i play i have had that on my cd player in my car since it dropped and still bump just about daily.
documentary is the best album out this year imo and i dont think there would be anything better this year thats just my opinion unless detox drops this year of course
-
don't think there will be a detox this year. but quik's album will be better.

Yeah I have a feeling Quiks album is gunna be his best since Rythm-al-ism. He should call the album "The 3 Year Theory" lol since everytime he doesnt make an album for 3 years its his best. Safe & Sound 3 years after Way 2 Fonky, Rythm-al-ism 3 years after Safe & Sound and now "Trauma" 3 years after Under tha Influence.
-
^^ohh he's calling it trauma??? i didnt know that....nice title
i hope i like this album....even more i hope this album sells well
and about documentary....i only listen to a few tracks (hate it, higher, dont need ur love, church for thugs)....but these were the only tracks i listened to when it dropped so it hasnt got old....surprisingly!!
peace

-
I was listening to it this morning, listen to it every day.
-
well i been bumpin that album at work for the last month or so and i´ve started to appreciate some songs that i hated when it dropped(Special,Runnin,Put You On The Game).
-
i think that it's a good album and i listen to it still now
-
i was listening to it for awhile cos i didnt happen to have any other cd in my 6 cd changer in the car, and the changers in my trunk so its kinda of a bitch to change cds all the time, so i had to listen to documentary hella lot whenever i was driving. but yeah that cd got fuckin real boring.. i dunno, even the production started all sounding the same to me.. but yeah i only listened to it cos i guess i was forced into the situation, i woulda stopped listening a lot earlier.
quik will be doper and so will common's BE
-
I got it in constant rotation
-
Nope. It's been weeks since I last listened to that album. It got played out here - Game hasn't got enough lyrical content to keep me interested. Even if the production was amazing on all tracks, it still wouldn't have been a classic album to me, just because of Game.
Nevertheless it's one of the best albums this year so far. Cormega - The testament is way up there, too. I'm also expecting a lot from the new releases of Common, Kanye West, DJ Quik and Tony Yayo. Of course, some of those might end up disappointing once they get released. Overall, The Documentary still is quite a good album, it's just Game that kinda ruined his own album for me.
-
i still listen to it a lot, i love it
-
^^ same here
its not ur average album... u dont get bored of the beats real quik
-
If i'm not playing it at home when i go to my friends house he's playin' it, tha nigga says he has to listen to it everyday before he goes outside...........i still bump that shit and i still love it as much as i did when i first heard it..........
-
I bump it at least once a week...
-
Still in heavy rotation. Since I'm not a US or an English person, the weakness of the lyrics is not a huge problem 8)
-
Still bump it a couple times a week.
-
i never play it anymore
-
Damn i haven't played it in a long ass time... Only song that still gets play is the mary j bliidge song or the timbo song
-
I played it today actually when I was outside had that shit bumpin in my mp3player.
Its a classic album cuz I like some of the songs I didn't like at first.
-
Still in heavy rotation for me especially when I need something to workout to at the gym. Game and John Legend are the only current CDs I listen to. All the other CDs I listen to are older westcoast classics. Patiently waits for Quik and Daz to drop.
-
its a dope cd but actually stopped listenin after a week because the fuckin radio played the shit over and over so messed it up...i fuckin hate the radio for that shit!!!
-
Still Bumping It Man PUT U IN THA GAME Is Fucking Dope
