Man. It seemed like it would never happen, but Tha Dogg Pound are whole once again and Snoop Dogg says an album is on the way. "DPGC! It could be a problem," he said last Wednesday after his West Coast unity summit just outside L.A. "There's definitely going to be a record. DPGC is in full swing. Everybody is back. We got Daz [Dillinger] and Kurupt. We got Soopafly, we got the Lady of Rage, RBX, Bad Azz, myself, Nate Dogg, Warren G. Do I need to name some more?" Snoop said with his whole crew back on the same page, it's going to feel like their glory days of the early and mid-'90s. "Everybody is so excited, wanting to work with each other. This is what it's all about: having fun. When we got into this music game, it was about making music that made you have fun and made you money. And that's what time it is. It's time to take it to the basics."
The biggest animosity that was brewing within the crew was with Tha Dogg Pound's Kurupt and Daz. Daz accused Kurupt of being disloyal because of alignment with Suge Knight and Death Row. Kurupt said he was looking out for himself financially. They recently squashed everything and started back at square one. Fittingly, Daz and Kurupt met up at "The Happiest Place on Earth" to air out their differences. "I was going to Disneyland with my daughter and [Kurupt] happened to be there, so we discussed it over pizza," Daz explained. "Then I gave him Snoop's number and we kept the communication open. Snoop is quarterbacking the whole deal. We haven't recorded yet, we been recording in our dreams . I'm happy to be here. I love all my Dogg Pound homies." Daz said his album, Gangsta Crunk, is coming out May 31 via Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label. Meanwhile Snoop's other homey RBX is working on his solo LP and will have production by Young MC. Elsewhere, Eazy-E's son, Lil' E, is also in the lab working with the D.O.C. ...
guess the song Nima put up was an old song with new Daz adlibs. however, I was shocked when I read the paragraph before they start talking about Tha Dogg Pound.

Yeah, that's weird but did anyone else notice that MTV reported that Daz said ''Gangsta Crunk'' was coming out via ''So So Def'' in that article. I thought that it was a ''Gangsta Advisory'' release...maybe some dodgy reporting?
After all, I'm almost 100% certain that ''Gangsta Crunk'' isn't Daz's ''So So'' release.

you're right DPG2K it is a GA release... on DPG recording.. i thought it was a done thing... nima'll know for sure.. i find it hard to believe they arent.. daz sent us that song to show the reunion was real.. the lyrics in the song point towards the reunion "kurupt and daz it aint all bad".. then daz sent us a recent pic of him and kurupt together.. and i know theres more to come..
-
well it sounded to me like they were talking about the whole dpgc as an album hadn't been recorded yet......i wonder if they are gonna record a dpgc compilation album......seperate from the daz/kurupt one
-
LOL!Nima fooled us!But the track was hot!Chuuuch!
-
on kurupts site it says they have already recorded four songs too, and thats from a while back
-
atleast its more official now!...on a side note Big Boy on Power 106 was talkin to Snoop today about The West Coast Summit (why he did it, he said He Wants To Go Out With A Bang! He Came in With One and Its Time For him To go almost) about Tha Dogg Pound, and how it is great to have them all together...Snoop, Busta, The Game are head Line-ing the Powerhouse this year, most likely this will be where Tha Dogg Pound reunites in front of our eyes....
-
no, they have recorded... if daz and kurupt are working a dpg album (dogg pound gangsta) and its titled daz kurupt/kurupt and daz
but dpgc (dogg pound gangsta clique) have not recorded yet... so Hah, im right, your wrong.

they are recording songs in their dreams? MAJOR PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Remember, I wasn't the one saying it's new, it was Daz... so I didn't fool anymore..
-
Who gives a shit if they have or haven't recorded anything together? It will happen. Yall act like the 7 Day Theory is the norm. I would expect an album with everyone on it (hopefully without delays) in about 6 months.
-
it'll happen soon ;)

on a side note...at the end of the article they say D.O.C. is working with Lil' Eazy....what y'all think about that?? D.O.C. penned a multitude of verses for Eazy Duz It & efil4zaggin, and all that was classic & dope...should we expect the same???

Man, some of you cats are too quick to judge. It could just be that the information in the article is old and not up to date. If both Daz AND Kurupt have stated they're already doing tracks, that's all anyone needs to know, since that's straight from the horse's mouth. Just be happy they're working together at all.
