Title: How many songs do y'all have on your computer?

lets put it this way..

i have this PC my 'main one'... it has a 180 gig SATA disk.. just my mp3s folder.... counting mp3s quickly... 11,030 files 40.4 GB (43,403,327,488 bytes) thats half what you have..

my other remote control/remote access/always on pc that lives in my garage has a 120 gig disk and a 300 gig disk...

13,793 + 5197 mp3s taking up roughly 70 gig per disk... (one has a lot of tars... so the real figures are gonna be a lot lot higher...)

so i'm pushing 30k.. but there are 100s of tar's/rar's... so its gotta be 40k/50k at least
a quick add up means just mp3s is taking up over 200 gig

its a nightmare to sort out :(

plus for backups i have an external 300 gig disk, and a external 160 gig disk... (and a 80 to put together..)
there is more stuff on these...

I had about 2,000 but it jumped to 10,000 when I got my iPod. You probably contributed to about 1,000 of those lol

I need to get another external hard drive. I think I have under 2 gigs left on my 80 gig drive as well as 6 gigs free on my 40 gig comp.

I have a 20GB partition on my hard drive of just mp3's and it's been full for a year or so. I have maybe 500 - 1000 more mp3's scattered about on other partitions plus 5 or 6 cd's of mp3's.

I can't believe how many songs some of you have. I think I have pretty much everything I want and that's still just a fraction of some of your collections.
