Post by: Trauma-san on April 29, 2005, 09:40:59 AM: I figured I'd listen to it with a fresh pair of ears, since I typically haven't listened to the DPG bullshit that's came out over the past two years or so.

The beat is nice, like Warren G's always are. Kurupt's definately stepped it back up a notch, but his flow isn't what it used to be, it's not as interesting as it was back in the day. Lyrically he's good but not like he was. All you can compare him to is himself, of course, so that's what I gotta do. Nobody outside of Cali is going to bump this song, but if they're going independent maybe that's all they need or want. Decent song, better than the bullshit he's put out in the past, for sure.

I don't like Hutton's beat anywhere near as good as Warren G's, but it's funky. Kurupt's flow is immediately better than the other song. The line about Car Windows is good, goin' out like Brian Nichols is nice, "You thought niggaz was a joke because the liquor and smoke, quicker to knock niggaz sicka than leukemia loc" is nice. Definately much better, good to see it.

Daz's verse is inferior, but I like Daz even when he's not that good. He should have went with his old school flow since Kurupt did.
