i wasn't around when guys like Maradonna , Pele , cruiff and peckenbauer (sp?) were , so i'm just gonna list the best players (IMO) of our time:

1-Ronaldinho
2-Zidane (I hate France , but the guy is talented)
3-Lampard
4-Rivaldo
5-Shevchenko

the answer would probably change if i answer in a couple of hours but these are the 5 names that popped into my head

I'm just going on people I've actually seen play whole matches on tv and shit, rather than listing people like Pele, Maradona, Cruyff,etc which I have only seen highlight reels from. So, since I started watching football my top five favourites would be, in no particular order:

Roberto Baggio
Romario
Pep Guardiola
Teddy Sheringham
Rui Costa
