Lastnight I went to The Docks on Toronto to attend the "How the West was One" concert. I gota say I was dissapointed with the show bigtime. The Game didnt even show up and neither did DPG aka Kurupt & Daz....
For these guys to be promoting all this westcoast unity and not even show up for tour dates is a slap in the face. I paid $118.00 Canadian for 2 tickets and feel ripped off huge.
So here's what happend.......
We got in there about 8pm and some unknown artist named Rochester performed for about a half hour. He wasnt very good. Time starts going by and people start getting resltess....Chants of "Snoop, Snoop" start turning into "Booooooo" and "What the fuck" and before you know it weve been waiting 2 hours without any entertainment. Being about 10 feet from the stage, I gota say that was the longest 2 hours Ive had in awhile and was very uncomfortable....I was high and had the pasteys like a mutherfucker....So after about 2 hours DJ Jam finally hits the stage. Starts fuckin around on the 1s and 2s and at this point, the crowd is getting very antsy.
They had DJ EZ Dick introduce Snoop who came out to his usual "Murder was the Case" Snoop was accompanied on stage by only Soopafly and June Bug....Snoop performed pretty tight and did his whole catologue including "Snoops Upside ya Head" from his Doggfather album. However, Snoop did NOT look right. Ive seen him 4 times now in concert and he wasnt his usual self. He was doing some gay dances that would have even made Jun Bug look bad. At one point he was just dancing like a fool for 2-3 minutes without even rapping, and Im thinking to myself "I didnt pay money to see Snoop dance and act like a retard on stage, WTF"
About half way through his set, he stops for the "Small chronic break".......So people are throwing weed onstage and Snoop grabs a blunt and goes "Yo , we need some WHITE for this. laughs and then goes Im Fuuuuuuuuucked Up!"....Then he proceeds to go into "Lets get Blown" which obviously now, I think of as a Coke song.
I couldnt believe it, Snoop talking about need some "White" and looking like a fool on stage. The Game and DPG not even showing up......I was hella dissapointed. These guys have been talking about the West was One and Westcoast Unity and making shit sound good again and it was FAR from it. DPG getting back together is great but Ill tell you rigth now those guys wont make any good new music being all fucked up on Yayo all the time. Even all the people around us were wondering what the fuck Snoop was on.

maybe he ment zome zig zagz (i'm hopin) cause he always talks shit on coke, anyway dpg might not of shown up cause they always say daz has trouble getting up there cause of some shit with his passport being fucked up so maybe kurupt stayed to record some shit or somethin (either that or they were all just way to fucked up to go on)
btw that way unfortuante for you man hope this doesn't happen when they come to tha bay

I thought about that, but Ive already seen Daz in Toronto at Puff Puff Pass tour.....And as for the Game, he was in toronto on MuchMusic 2 weeks ago....so wtf?

man i feel bad for ya thats a joke. for kurupt,daz and game not to show thats ot right. the thing that shocked me was the peole throwing weed on the stage. wtf is up with that these people they are aware that snoop has his own chronic right? ::)

If I was in the front row, I would have tried to snatch some of the weed. Snoop doesn't need it.
But from how the concert sounded like it went, I hope it gets better. I feel bad you got screwed out of your money like that. With all the talking he's been doing, it doesn't seem fair that the fans who really care about the music and follow Snoop, don't get to see the effort. Maybe everything hasn't materialized yet. I hope that's the case. But there should be no excuse for being late to your own concert. It's their job and they are showing up late. And if you are gonna show up late, at least put your heart into your act. Don't make it seem like you are there just to sell records. Be there to entertain.

oh shit, you were there too, Represent? Yeah the show sucked. But the highlight for me was when Snoop tossed his blunt into the crowd, and I TOOK A HIT OF IT!!! Shit tasted bad though.

damn, i thought i got the shaft when i paid more money for front row tickets for one of the anger management tours and it turned out they just let the first 200-400 or so people get front row

show was to start at 7:30PM... got there at about 6:15PM, was pretty ahead in line. Would been closer if I didn't have problems with the tickets. If it's general admission, watch out though, there's gonna be A WHOLE LOT of people pushing to get in front, so you might end up losing your spot if you're not aggressive

The concert I was at was also general admission. We got there 45 mins before the doors opened and waited in line....As soon as we got in we had a couple beers and made our way to the stage...

mabye throwin weed on stage is a Canadian thing lol. I rember last time I saw snoop at the Plaza of Nations in Vancouver, people were throwin weed all over the stage, and soopafly was runnin and pickin it all up and puttin it all in a pile next to DJ Jam lol.
