its nice, it doesnt change graphically much unless you have a 64mb (core video) video card

alot of shit still isnt compatible with it, since theyve changed all their networking & kernel code, but its nice

im running it on an ibook g4 (1.2ghz, 768mb ram) and its faster than panther was. the widgets are nice too, ive got a tv guide, versiontracker and weather info widgets happening

irssi (irc client), bittorrent client(s) (5 or 6), xfree86, glib libraries, nessus, practically anything that uses their networking or kernel code

i have the 15" powerbook g4. you think the mac osx tiger would be a good buy?

would it make a lot of graphic changes for mine? thats all im pretty much looking for...
not lookin for anything super complex.

how old is it? if its got the 64mb video card then it'll be fine

apple shouldve released it as a update though, not worth payin the money for it. might want to check out if any of the apps you use all the time that apple dont make are compatible with it before upgrading. if you dont mind alot of shit not working, then go & upgrade

yeah i dont use too much on the computer, mainly just internet and aim imovie shit like that.. this is a powerbook g4.. i got this summer of 2004..

do you know how to check what kind of video card i have?

ok, all the powerbooks have had 64mb vid cards for a while, you should be safe

got to applications>utilities>system profiler  you can get all the info on your hardware should be on there
