Post by: i B 2 QUIK 2 c on May 01, 2005, 04:59:10 PM: Just read the new Quik interview in the April/May Mean Magazine and Quik said his new record will feature Game, Wyclef Jean, Nate Dogg and B-Real of Cyprus Hill.... luckily i have a Tower Records thats one block away from my appartment... the article is worth a read but i didnt buy the mag... Quik talks about how he never officially banged and that it is a myth that he was a gangbang rapper ???... i'm pretty sure on dollaz + sense he said "i was the first nigga to bang on wax".... anyways, he explains that he only grew up in the Tree Top neighborhood... he talks a lot about how he resents gang bangin and how most westcoast rappers have a Hollywood mentality that is unlike any other region... its a mentality where muthafuckas demand respect like "you know who the fuck i am?!" type of shit... its about a 2 page interview... he also mentions that "keeping it real" with family memebers and friends in the business was a bad idea because it held him back... he said he doesn't really care what happens to them :-\ go read it if u have a chance...
