Title: Favourite Dj Quik Album ??
Post by: rafsta on May 02, 2005, 06:44:58 AM: what is your favourite Dj Quik CD ??

Mines goto be Safe & Sound for all the old school p-funk samples, dope lyrics and hooks, then rhythmalism loved all the bass lines, drum loops and guitar riffs, lyrically, beatwise and guest appearances were off the hook....

both these albums get a 10/10 in my books...

I like Under the Influence just as much as safe and sound, but it's kinda like comaring apples and oranges to me. Safe and Sound has dope GFunk styles and a good westcoast feel, but he took it to another level with Under The Influence, it was better quality. It's hard to exprain.

How come I've never seen one about DJ Quik like this before?

As for me... I'm ashamed to say it, but I don't even know all Quik albums. Can't judge properly, so I won't.

safe and sound is a great place to start...

I've got Quik is the name, Rhythm-a-lism and Under the influence... Seems like I really need to get Safe and sound badly ;D

1. Safe & Sound
2. Rhythm-al-ism
3. Balance & Options
4. Way 2 Fonky
5. Quik is the name
6. Under the influence....

i think all Quiks albums are 10/10 except Under the Influence.... even tho it has some fucking hot tracks, the album doesnt flow, it doesnt fit together...

I personally like all his albums, but Rhythm-al-ism and Under Influence are tight
