Record of the Year: New Oasis Album, "Don't Believe The Truth".
-
Damn, is it out already or only available online? I gotta wait till the 30th May before it comes out in Aust.
I've only heard the single off the album, quite catchy a bit poppy, but i like it. I'm hoping their latest is better than their last few albums.

After hearing the single I didn't get my hopes up. Heard Noel say it was similar to some The Who songs, it wasn't. If the album is even half as good as their first two it will be worth picking up.
On a side note, Trauma, did you hear Liams comments about John Lennon & George Harrison? Made himself look like a complete fool. I agree with some of the people he directs his insults towards, but saying Ringo Starr was the second most important member of the Beatles is ridiculous.

^ You think he meant that shit as a discussion? He said that so you'd get pissed, which you did. He's playing with your emotions, and never even met you.
There's a song called "The Importance of Being Idle" on the new album, sound is incredible on it, with Noel singing lead falsetto.
"Love Like A Bomb" has Liam's voice so fuzzed out, it's almost incomprehensible.
"Mycky Fingers" is just crazy shit.
"Let There Be Love" is kind of on the level of "Wonderwall", Liam's voice has minimal processing and you get to hear what he sounds like naturally singing, nothing backing him up but a piano and guitar. About halfway through, it breaks in a little bit more and Noel takes the lead (I've never heard them do that before).
"Part of the Queue" has Noel singing and is kind of like some of the stuff on the last two albums.
It's just a great album, I think, really creative and hard rock & roll.

Playing with my emotions? Err yeah, I was devestated when I heard what he said. Contemplated ending it all. ::)

^ You really should let go of it. It's just not worth it, man. I would suggest talking to somebody about your problems, too, suicide is bad business.

Thanks for listening Jerry.

Hmm. My name's not Jerry, but I'm always glad to help.

Well I checked it out. Some good songs on it, some okay songs on it. Have to give it more of a listen before I can tell properly. Your right about 'Let There Be Love' though. Sounds fantastic. Has the chance to be a big hit over here and no doubt will be.
