We left you back in 1996/
We'd rather have you there/
Your memories we won't forget/
A true soldier you interpreted the dreams
of a whole generation
those dreams died when you died Pac
and now we carry on yet we never move forward/
Cause we left you back in 96/


And it's still 96 Pac/
Your music was a movement
and now that movement is dead Pac/
Died in cold blood with no witnesses/
But we felt as though we witnessed
every incident in your life Pac/
And then you died so quick/
We bump your music like it's 96

Remember 96 when Clinton was president/
It was a different world then/
So we leave you Pac in 96/
So now whenever we want to remember/
We just got to put on one of your songs
and we are there

thanks, I appreciate that, I was just looking at an old article from a mid-90's Vibe magazine written about 2pac and Death Row Records and it brought back some old memories.
