i was just wondering after reading the game interview.....cuz he said they set the bdget for the next album he doing...........do rappers get mo or less to work with second time around cuz im sure they must have invested alot in games first album tryna bring him out into the game and looking at the quality of leftovers...seems like alot was spent..........
and do some cats have an unlimited budget where they can spend as much as they want on making a album until they happy with it? just wondered
peace

^^actually most of the production and features were inhouse
hi tek, JR, dre, eminem and jeff bhaskor, features- busta,em,50,yayo and dre
prolly most of games budget was spent on promo and shit
hopefully he gets a bigger promo budget this time
-
if i have to guess i think its somewhere 250k-500k just in beats, features, mixing. But i dont think he needs much more for his 2nd release cuz he has dope producers like NJD, J.R., Hi-Tek, maybe denaun porter (D12). And If they set a bigger budget then they will expect much more from him, and it will be much more pressure for him, and if he doesnt sell more than 3mill they will consider him a flop and shit.

^^tru but i mean im sure he paid mo bread for the dre tracks than he did anything else.....apart from maybe the timbaland joint, album wise and probably alot of money was spent on promotion to still..........im sure hitek aint officially on aftermath so he just works with them.......like jr and co.....and em probably didnt charge much either.....your probably right that he may not have had a big budget but by the sounds of the album it seems like alot of money was spent by how clear n high quality shit sounded and it seems like dre and co were fully supporting him at the time......or maybe cuz dre mixed most of it it sounds hight bidget, who knows........props for postin anyway, but i still feel alot was spent on the album.....or maybe it was made to seem like that.........but yeah i think your right, i think he'll have more money to spend this time around since he made interscope n co alot of money to......but maybe it could be less since 50 aint helping with the backing either..........i think it'l be mo like u said tho still

i know dre charges around 70k for the artists on his roster and outsiders like gwen stefani 250k, Hi-tek charges around the same 50-70k im guessing, same as J.R., Timbo might charge 70-100k. and NJD is on BWS (Game's Label) and i read somewhere that he charges 25-50k (might be less for game).

hi-tek and J.R. aint on the aftermath roster, they just collaborate (mellowmanisback told me), and dre mixed the whole album.

dayum! niggas like hi tek n jr chargin so much! man if a brother was in games situation imma tellin these new niggaz like jr n needlez 5-10k mazimum muthafucka and thats if i had nuff dollars to spend and hi tek could get 20ks....for everyhit that makes the album, haha
-
it might depend on the artist too, like hi-tek or j.r. aint going to charge 50 cent the same as ras kass or other "underground" cats. I Know Heatmakers (they work with dipset) they charge 20k
-
yeah no doubt......but the other side of it is that by gettin on a 50 album these niggaz are also gettin alot of exposure to so it kinda works both way u get me, so 50 could still try n hustle a nigga for some mo beats on a decent price........but i mean with the amount of bred 50 made if he complainin about what niggaz are chargin him he need a brain check cuz he got mo money than ..........alot of muthafuckaz
-
ohh and dont forget the royalties.
-
hit-tek and JR r in the aftermath production team
focus is ON the math he is signed
ppl like needlez prolly dont charge much cause 50 put him on
wat am trying to say is i dont think game spent as much as say JAY-Z spent on the black album for example
plus what i dont understand is why would dre charge game 70K ( i know its nuthin compared to 250) if he is the excutive prod on the album??
and btw royalties r paid by the label not by the artist
-
seeeeeen, so continuing with games situation duz he have to pay off the budget n shit for making the album n so on first n then he starts making bred for himself or does he make money off the fist cd that the cat sells? and how much does he make off each cd...ive heard its alot more than what most cats get cuz on major labels
-
^^ prolly not more than 1 dolar per album
i think madonna makes 1.10 off each copy and thats the highest
am not sure though i might be wrong
however, artists usually make most of their money from touring and shit
-
even excutive producers make like a doller or 2 max per copy
the major label takes most of the 15 bucks
labels like koch for example give their artists 6-8 dollars per copy
thats why u got ppl like camron and jim jones getting rich by only sellin 100-300k per release and they still able to shoot videos and flash jewels
i think daz makes like 10 dollers per copy on his dpg shit
but he only sells like 10-20k so he makes less than the dips
-
i heard eminem makes $2.5/cd
-
^he made it no more useless posts
:tosser:
-
Game got a miilion dollar advance for the documentrary
-
ill set the record straight and put it like this....Scott Storch charges around $150,000 a beat and he is one of the elite producers right now up there with Dre and Kanye and Just Blaze and Timbo. so all those dudes charge around that rate for artists that arent in their camp
-
YEAH,thats what most of them advances be fore,it's just some cats go buy expensive car's and bullshit, and end up being in the hole, thats what 50 was saying about jadakiss on that diss with yayo,he ain't recoup,so he ain't seeing no royalities, and do yall think dre in them are just gonna say lets give this kid a beat for 10 grand are you crazy, and yeah 50 got money, but interscope got hella more, and his goal is to have as much as possible, can't get mad at him for that, and plus he give young producers a chance thats some cool shit right there
-
Hi Tek aint on Aftermath but hes got a 10 song deal with them
-
scott prolly doesnt charge much in aftermath cause dre put him
he is dre's assistent along with mike elozondo, jeff bhasker and mel man.. all co-produers
i highly doubt game's production budget was amill
even if it was i suppose he didnt spend it all

i think he did
but most definately not only on production... promo is expensive as hell
the djs have to be paid right - just like 50 does - hrhr
-
^^ yea but still u cant compare game's promo budget with 50's
i remember some one saying get rich or die trying had a 5 mill promo budget
