there were samples from "the mack" on the chronic remember that dialogue "we gotta get rid of..." thats from the movie./

and on doggfather on "when i grow up" there is a routine which is a straight copy of a routine goldie (the mack) does with the neighborhood kids..

Yeah and the bathtub intro on Doggystyle is from the movie the mack too right?
Or was that from that movie called Superfly?

Is the Superfly movie any good?

The soundtrack is nice.

yeah its a good film.. better quality than 'the mack;

the soundtrack is very tied into the movie..
curtis mayfield sings live in a bar scene in the film

e.g. the song "freddies dead" does gets played after he was killed
junkie chase suprisingly is played during a chase with... a junlie.. lol

'the mack' isnt as well put together..doesnt mean its bad.. just lower budget

for another pimp movie check out Willie Dynamite.. thought that was a cool film

also i'd check out Coffy  too.. thats a dope film.. pam grier was soooooo hot..


dolemite is kinda funny, but not that good really..
i'd avoid "cooley high" think its really wack..

Good movies but the best from the 70's is still Shaft.
