The Heat haven't made any investments...Lakers have. What do ya'll think?
-
The odds are on the Lakers side
-
I voted even
but Im leaning towards Heat...

Can you say why? In 5 years, Shaq will be lucky to be playing and the Heat will be in salary cap hell...Lakers will have a young Kobe and enough money to sign whoever they like...If history is any indication, Lakers are on a fast uprise...PeACe

the Lakers, for sure, because the plan is to have a strong team around kobe in 2 years
and if shaq gets his money that he did not get from the lakers the heat are not going to be able to keep anny players because they have to pay d.wade in 2 years, the heat are going to be like the lakers the last 2 years and sign 35-40 year olds to 1 year contracts
and then when shaq retires the heat have to build a team around d.wade and that is going to take 2 -3 years because theirs alot of young up coming teams in the east like
milwakie bucks-they got # 1 pick
76ers,they have the other A.I and doulenberg
pistons still going to be ballin
the nets
and other teams i can't think of right now
-
if shaq is still with them, and as good as he is now....heat.
however lakers have a huge ass salary cap, you never know what they could do.
i say even, because honestly i couldnt guess 5 years from now.

Clippers, Lakers, Golden State, Philadelphia, Denver, New York, and New Jersey are all going up next year...Miami, Memphis, Sacramento, Seattle, and Indiana are all going down...

I don't believe they'll still have Shaq in 5 years ;D. I don't see shaq in the NBA past another 3 years becuase of his body...HE"S HUGE..that's gotta be doing somthing to his body (if you don't see it already)
-
Lakers are bound to be better in 5 years i dont even think heat will still have shaq
-
So if ya'll agree that the Lakers are building a better team, why do so many people think trading Shaq and keeping Kobe was stupid?

warriors will make playoff w/ no injuries to starting 5.
lakers will be good, but why form a team around kobe when all he does is shoot, heat have wade and jonesas big support, shaq is a ?able player for years to come w/ his injury and such, if heat have the same exact starting 5 next year they'll win championship

i said dump both of em...lol
btw, this next year....the Heat will definetely be better then LA. 5 years from now, its IMPOSSIBLE to say. Phil has a 3 year contract...so who knows if he'll even be around for that 5th year. Plus u never know what kind of moves EITHER team will make during that time. Anything can happen, Shaq wont be around 5 yrs from now in Miami...but who knows who else they could sign by then. Who even knows if Kobe is still around in LA by then. Theres just no way to know that far down the line.
-
IMO, the Lakers but i don't see them winning a championship within those 5 years.
-
Lakers
-
I'd like to say heat but logic and reason tesll me it's the lakers

I agree, 5 years from now is a long time, but next year? How can you even compare the Heat and the Lakers, Wade and Shaq have more chemistry than Kobe and any one of his players, plus a better supporting cast, the Lakers will be better but not better than the Heat, the Heat will contend for the title again, I don't see the Lakers contending.
