All the west needs now is for Dr. Dre to stop wasting his time with G Unit and Eminem and come home and make some real new millenium shit with the OG Chronic boys......When is Dre gona realize this? I woulda thougth dre would have come around before Kurupt came home.....But were still waiting on Dre......What the fuck is up DRE?

Dre needs to start a new label and oversee more cali projects before he has another "presents the aftermath". imagine if he brought back hittman, maybe yuk, guerilla black, strictly cali cats. sure he isnt the only producer but he captures the most attention. if he were to round up everyone in cali that holds weight, the west would come back for real.

I think after the year 2001, Dre started focusing more on his own artists and stopped doing so many collaborations with dudes from the West. Think about it, during that year, he worked with:
Snoop Dogg, Knoc-Turn'al, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Mack 10, DJ Quik, 40 Glocc, Xzibit...
Then once 50 signed, Dre put more energy into him for obvious reasons. 1) to create a new superstar, which he did and 2) to make a shitload of money, which he did again. Honestly, I'd love nothing more than for Dre to produce for artists like 213, DPG & them, but in reality, Dre's got his own thing going without them. As far as the West Coast goes, Dre only fucks with Nate Dogg on a regular basis, along with Game and I'm positive him & Snoop will cook up some shit for Detox. That's good enough for me.

exactly, dre done proved EVERYTHING. HE has made millions of dollars, I highly doubt he is hurting for cash. he needs to give back to his real fans what they want, the ones who supported him when he was a nobody. not the fans that hop on a bandwagon and listen to everything thats trendy and crackin, although thats what I do now cuz I wanna be cool.

the last thing we need is Dre working with already established artists. what we need is Dre working with up and coming west coast artists and thatīs what heīs always ben doing(Game,Bishop,Smigg Dirtee,40 Glocc,Snoop,Daz,Kurupt,Hittman etc etc). peeps seem to forget that Dre is almost always working and helping out some up and coming artists from the west but thatīs something that peeps seem to forget. and Dre doesnīt owe the west coast shit itīs the opposite. these fucking clowns are always hating on Dre sayin dumb shit so why would he give a fuck about them? Dre has broken more new west coast artists then any other person in the music business and if he wanna try other things then why not? and with all of the drama goin on in the west i canīt say i blame Dre for not fucking with some of the artists that owe their careers to him coz some of them been hating and talkin shit about him so fuck em.

I have given Dre my $15 twice for both The Chronic and 2001. I don't mind his work with Em, 50, or Game, I just won't be giving him my money if they are on the majority of Detox. I don't see why people are bitching about this. Dre will never listen to anyone here. He makes music he wants to, and with that, you can either choose to buy the album or just leave it on the shelves. I really would like to see him go out with a bang for his last album, but it's not anybody's decision but his.
The west coast music scene is what it is not because Dre isn't backing it. It is because of blackballing and the fact that the majority of people nowadays just don't want to hear gangsta shit. We at dubcnn.com are a good percentage of the people that still want to hear it. Seriously, when was the last time you heard a gangsta track in the top 40? The record labels are afraid of that shit. The west either needs to start making pop chart shit or they need to quit bitching and remain underground. We all know the music industry is made up of fads. Yall act like just because you like that certain type of music, that is all anyone should listen to. There are a couple artists that I have heard on the west that seem like they are getting the short end of the stick and they should get a major deal, but a lot of the artists are telling the labels to fuck off. They want to stay independant. Ras Kass did that and yall wonder why he hasn't blown up yet.
These threads are getting really monotonous. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Music you grew up listening to will never, ever, ever, ever, ever return. Deal with it.
