I value your comment, but in my opinion DJ Slip, DJ Quik and DJ Premier are the greatest Hip Hop producers of all time. Jay Z and the Notorious B.I.G. are the greatest rap artists of all time.

its seems like theyve been promoting an album for the longest...ive seen banners for it at the bottom of the page so whats going on....they did they thing on "Clap Yo Hands" from Tray Deees album but i havent heard much

Uh huh, thats the "Dueces Trays & Foes" album banner, that album was by Tha Eastsidaz & the IV Life Family.
Basically the label never got distribution, so none of the albums ever dropped. They could have signed with a local indie distributor, but there would be no point in that. They wanted a major deal, but just didnt get one.
But who knows, one day I hope they will.

I have been wondering if that track with mac dre ever got recorded. thats dope, thanks. I haven't listened to them yet, but I will get around to it. I sure wish I could hear that dueces trays and foes. they should just release that one independently right now, and try for the majors with the official iv life album.

A few reasons, 1) The Eastsidaz don't want any of their material released unless its on a major. 2) Dueces Trays & Foes is a big project, to big to be released locally.

You don't know how the industry works. Goldie can put out bootlegs, he will make money from them. He will still get his points and credits but he won't make much from a IV Life bootleg. Think before you speak next time.

What release has been over a year? The only bar-coded IV Life release was in 2002.

Some people like IV Life, others don't. Big fucking deal...to each his own. All I'm hoping for is that one day they'll get that distro deal.
And all this discussion around IV Life is cool and all, but how about some actual feedback concerning the songs?
By the way SGV...IV Life Underground Vol. 1 did push so many units. Don't take my word for it though...just ask Slip. Why would he even lie about sales anyway...

The difference between a groupie & a fan (pay attention):
1) A (real) fan won't be afraid to state his opinion on the artists, whether it's positive or negative feedback. He'll say it's either tight or extremely wack depending on the music's quality and he'll back his statement with several arguments. A fan will support an artist because he believes in the talent he has.
2) A groupie will say "it's banging!" no matter what the artists do, and that's that.
I've expressed my "displeasure" about IV Life not releasing anything several times (even though I know it's not completely their fault), so what does that make me? You figure it out...

These are simply "Forum Critics" that spend half of their lifes on the internet doing absolutly nothing constructive, i.e. disrespecting people and talking about real life personal issues. I don't even think LilHD speaks english, he often says "mang" instead of "man" I believe. As for SGV, I think he is aiming for the "Internet Julio G for Latin Rap" status.
Real people like ourselves would rarely post negative comments about an Artist, Group or Label out of respect.
