Title: MTV Awards; I know it's rigged for MTV type stars but fo they have to rub it in

I fully expect the stupid things like Lohan beating Swank for best female performance, and after naming MJ artist of the millenium (that includes Mozart and Beethoven), I have no big problem with Tom Cruise getting the generation award, but John Heder? The guy from Napoleon Dymanite won best break out role (meaning most likely to become huge movie star), best dance (or something), and Napolean Dynamite won best picture. MTV has about as much cred as the Source does now a days, but do they really have to give every major award to a movie they funded? Particularly when it makes no sense and it bombs in the box office. (well maybe not bomb since it cost like 10 bucks to make, but it didn't do well).

They're protecting their own ass by making John Heder Breakout star of the year since Napolean Dynamite is a MTV production and they have a sequal in the works. Tom Cruise & Lindsay Lohan are both in the news and that equals ratings. It should be no surprise.

just to clarify this, what mtv was trying to do was wish him a happy birthday (since his b-day was around the time of the VMA's) and Britney Spears said something about being "artist of the millenium", and MJ was basically feeding his own ego by then coming out and assuming that his b-day gift was an "artist of the millenium" award. there was a special on VH1 that talked about how MJ misinterpreted that event
