ano this has probably been dun before but i was thinkin the other day whos better production wise(not as an mc)
both hav made some bangin tracks
if i had 2 choose id go 4 warren g
-
why would u even ask this question? what has warren g done besides regulator and the twinz to make him a better producer than quik?
G Funk Era > _________ but that was 94, 95. its 2005 now and dude has fallen off the map.
-
new music dun by them both
thats it>>>>>>fandango
no fuccin around there
-
DJ Quick back in the day. When he first came out, he produced his album, then second 2 none, penthouse players clique and think he also did production for AMG and Hi-C. Quick hasn't had any major hits besides Truth Hurt's Addictive, but did have some bangers back in the day. He hasn't really had a big single like Warren G did with Regulate. Warren G really only has had that hit, nothing else really.
-
if use are sayin warren g only had the regulate album yall need 2 listen 2 "i want it all"
that shit is straight g funk
-
Thats hard. But I would have to say Warren G just because I am more into the straight G-Funk sound of Warren. Also, most of Warren's solo albums have been VERY overlooked and should have sold alot more than they actually pushed. Nothin' against Quik, but I just am more of a Warren G fan......

could u hook up I want it all in the hookup spot?
-
it was very to choose but i'd go quik
-
warren g
-
I like Quik A lil bit better ...but as far as being creative I think that "I Want it All" & "Rhythm-al-ism" are their best work,
-
Quik no doubt...

first off its "the dj Q-u-i-k with no "c" not to gang bang sucka let my nuts hang"...
i think warren g is a dope producer, but quiks more creative, and a better over-all producer and musician. in my opinion its no contest.
although i'll admit, i prefer "thats it" over "fandango" heaps of times over.
-
Quiks dope but i think warren G is better. "I Want It All , Money Fast-Cars Diamond Rings Gold Chains and Champaign , Shit Every Damn Thang" Had dope produtcion. 8) 8)
-
This was a tight question, but i had to go with Warren G, cuz i've just been bumpin his music ALOT more then Quik's, but both are really dope producers...
-
I'd have to say Warren G...I keep bumpin' more of his albums more, but Quik is definitely in my top 10 in producers...
-
warren g
-
Warren G fell off almost 10 years ago. DJ Quik still makes good music.
-
Warren for me

Yea, forgot how he spelled his name. I couldnt find his old cd's on amazon for the longest since I was mispelling his name. I'm glad I can still get some of his albums I missed.

It's Dubcc.

Quik for me, Like Warren G, but imo Quik is the no 2 producer
-
the quiksta easy. next question.
-
both are two of my favorites...but it goes to DJ Quik
-
both are dope producers but imma vote for warren g. 8) 8) 8)
-
i dont think people appreciate quik's music enough on this forum...
-
Quik.
Dj Quik's best productions are better than Warren's best.

To me this beat is ahead of it's time. It's comparable to Dre's 2001 sound with more G-funk to it.
Quik is often unnessesaraly complex. I prefer simple sounding beats.

Why? Quik's winning the poll, ain't he. I voted for Quik too. Warren G seems limited to G-Funk imo. Quik has more variety, and is damn good at it too.
-
DJ Quiks has a range Warren can't fuc wit

anyone who truly appreciates music, should realise this is no contest...
you could compare Ant Banks or Battlecat to Warren G, but still Ant Banks takes it...
Quik is in a league of his own, just like Timbaland & Dre... they are the innovators of the game.

Be honest what would you rather see:
1. the hiphopgame without Warren G which means no G Funk Era album and probably a half as dope chronic and doggystyle?
(since warrens undeniable influence as a ghostproducer on both records)
or
2. the hiphopgame without Quik?
-
I would say DJ Quik for sho, he my fav producer. Warren G comes ryte after BC Powda in my book :)
